1. Agree with Yorks 5 Stringer. I too had a ticket for a gig in the 70s but they'd packed in by the time they got 'down sarf'. The 2000 tour was good but no comparison.

Funnily enough Nick said the same about you! As you can see from my avatar this is a good look. Well done Clarky...
3. I sold Clarky a bass. He paid me upfront, quickly, no questions asked and was a total gent. Cheers mate! PS he also knows a lot about Metallica
4. First four albums were fabulous - jazz loving musicians playing rock. Since then, they have been rock musicians playing (or trying to play) jazz. Not so good.
5. +1 for the Precision brotherhood!
6.
I thought the original was done with both of them hating each other...?
hence "One of these days i'm gonna cut you into little pieces"
7. I've had both and didn't really notice a big difference...except in the weight!
8. I was in two bands, juggling dates, and have finally accepted the inevitable and bowed out of one. They're based in Bishops Waltham, Hants and gigs are usually round that way (Eastleigh, Winchester, etc). The MySpace is in my sig below (Somethin Else). Music is 60s/70s R&B, rock, soul. Star man is the sax player (ex-pro) who is breathtaking; it's a privilege to share a stage with him. Other players are 2xguitar, drums, vocals; nice guys if lacking Dave's star quality. Ages mid 20s to mid 50s. Healthy gig sheet through to New Year's Eve. PM me if interested and I will make the intro. Not my decision, of course, but would be nice to pass this nice little gig on to a fellow BCer. Mick
9. Don't worry, Reece, we all love to show off our knowledge (and then sell you our unwanted gear!) Welcome...
10. Weird, eh?
11. PMd
12. Aren't you playing it in your avatar?
13. When I sold mine the best new price was £229. Considering the case is about £100 and I got £150 for my (caseless) S/H one I think this looks well priced.
14. I have one of these, same colour. Gorgeous - in fact I think I'll take it with me to my gig 2nite! Give em all a shock on the encores... Good luck - someone'll get a bargain. PS Mine doesn't have an F on the trussrod cover, just B-301 even tho' it's f-less.

Hello

Hello again Ben! Sorry if I was a bit rude - I'm delighted you are going to be a 'contributing member', as it's the shared experiences that make this board what it is. At least, when you've spent up all available money on gear, which I have...hence my snappy retort! Keep the comments coming, you're more than welcome even if you are a k******dist! (Oh dear, spoiled it now haven't I?) All the best.
16. Do feel free to introduce yourself! It's only polite...
17. Plucking or slapping?
18. I feel your pain, WoT...
19. I have to tell you, competition is intense!
20. So when did Paul Merton join on guitar?
21. That'll be Dickson to you, sonny! (She's got a great bass player BTW!) We played a marquee gig in the garden of a palatial bungalow for someone's 80th birthday party. Fortunately the age range of the 100 assembled was 8-80 rather than solely septuagenarians! Resisted the temptation to throw the drums in the outside heated swimming pool. We were supported by a drag act (!) which did not please our smallminded singer at all. Still, even he warmed to the 'faggot' (not my word) in the end, but declined to take up my suggestion and ask him up for a duet. Funnily enough, we used to do 'Lola'... Then some geezer who looked like Boris Johnson came up and booked us for £800 to play his party in a fortnight. Guess who was the only band member who couldn't make it? And what's worse, I'm doing a charity gig gratis with my other band, so no chance whatsoever of getting out with any dignity! Still, that's the way the cookie sometimes crumbles
22. Chris sold me a bass - it was a good 'un and so is he! Buy with confidence; he is A1 in my book. M
23. You ain't too shabby yourself, Mark - just make sure you lurk a bit less and post a bit more in future! Let me know how the 'new' band goes, too.
