1. Small and dingy, with some pretty tidy barmaids, I love it!
2. Saw a poster for the gig in Bloc last night, I'll be there!
3.
I've got a very lightly used set of DR Hi-Beams surplus if thats any use (I don't want the flats, but I'll help Clarky out) J
Tempting, what gauge are they?
4.
Haha, this place is so incestuous! But not in a sexual way of course Was it only 9 months ago? Well if you can spot a decent set of rounds FS on BC at a good price I will happily lob £15 plus postage your way for the La Bella's on Paypal (as a gift)
No, it was longer than 9 months ago, about 2 years now, but I asked at the time what strings they were and still had a note of it! No problem, unless a trade comes up before I find some decent strings I'll give you a shout. I don't have Paypal though, sorry mate!
5.
I just put up an Items Wanted post for these very strings! Except I don't have any rounds to trade Can I buy them off you instead mate? Edit: I am after 760FS which is Standard gauge (45-105) not medium gauge (49-109). Which ones do you have?
Clarky I just called them medium gauge as I always think of 45-105 as "medium", they're the Standard Gauge though, I got them after the P Bass I bought from you had them on! As for selling them, I'd prefer to trade as I don't really have enough spare cash at the minute to get a new set of strings!
6. Hi all! I've currently got a set of La Bella Deep Talkin' Flats on my Jazz, had them on for about 9 months but they've not had much use. They're medium gauge, 45-105, I'm looking to trade for a set of rounds, new or slightly used, I'm easy. I prefer D' Addario Pro Steels but I'll listen to whatever you've got, just looking for rounds in a similar gauge.
7.
Last two basses I sold I think I sold in part as they were too pristine for me.
Done that! I sold a Fender American Standard that I'd saved for ages to buy as I was too worried about damaging such a nice bass, think I only gigged it once. I used the funds to put together my Marcus Miller Jazz Bitsa which is about 9/10 condition but I can play it all day long and not worry about it. It's still in much the same condition as when I put it together but I don't have the worry of damaging a pristine instrument because it already carried one or two dings.
8. Hi again! I've ammended this as it's just the Dimarzio Cliplock strap that's available now. All the bits are there, I'm looking for a tenner posted, or a fiver if you've got a plain black Ernie Ball one to trade. Like this one here: No Paypal, so it's bank transfer or cheque only please!
9. I can't tell from the picture, is the Ibanez one gold or chrome? EDIT: Just noticed that the thread title says the 4 string bridges are chrome, what a chump!
10. On hold pending trade
11. Having a bit of a clear out and I don’t really need this as I’m not in a band and have no plans to be just now. It’s a Boss TU-2 Pedal Tuner, in pretty good nick. Comes in its box, which I’d written my old bands name on when we were away in Germany a few years ago. No pictures at the minute as I’m at work but everyone knows the score with these. Can try and get pictures tomorrow if needs be. Price is £25 plus say £3 for P&P? I don’t have Paypal so it’s bank transfer or cheque only, unless you’re in Glasgow and want to collect it and pay cash.
12.
I thought the 84's were the darkest of dark things.
The 84s are darker than the vintage tone 64s, but the Hammers are even darker still!
13. Another bump! Would interested in a trade for a Squier CV P Bass in Sonic Blue + cash.
14. Back to work bump!
15. Hi all, As the title says, I've got a pair of Wizard 84 Jazz Bass pickups in good condition, and I'm ideally looking to trade for a set of Wizard Hammers. I might also consider trades on J-type pickups with a darker tone than the 84s. Cheers!
16.
Ah. I see. Where are you located? Any chance I can come round and have a look at the bass? Also, is the original neck available anywhere, I'd like to mod it back to original sometime incase I like what you're offering...
I'm in Glasgow, if you want to come and try it you're more than welcome. As for the original neck, I bought the body from Mr Fudge, you'd need to contact him to see if he's looking to sell.
17.
I'd buy this right now if it wasn't for the mighty mite neck... I'm kinda looking for the whole package, unaltered.. Have the electronics been altered in any way?
Nope, all electrics are completely stock, nothing has been altered at all. The passive sound is classic Jazz, with the pre-amp on it sounds huge! Apologies for the neck, I bought the body on here from another Basschatter who used the neck in a project of his own.
18. Killing 2 birds with one stone by bumping, and pointing out that these pictures are from last summer, the neck has aged nicely since then and doesn't look so anaemic! The same goes for the Tusq nut, which has gone slightly brown with time.
