Just buy second hand and have your top end stuff for half the price. I currently have a Thumb and Infinity 5 string. RRP for the pair - £6500, cost to me £2000. Thumb has been with me for 15 years and never missed a beat. I don't understand people who buy this stuff new - you must have money to burn - same as cars I guess!

Listening to those vids makes me even more impatient for my Thunderfunk to arrive. This time next week with a bit of luck

Reuel's bass travel plan. (Shipping has now been paid for!)
bassoctopus replied to Shockwave's topic in General Discussion
Let's not forget that Reuel has already paid Jake to ship the bass once already, so claiming poverty is no excuse. I personally think if he was sorry he would have handed over one of his precisions to be auctioned on ebay to pay for this. Just goes to prove he's not sorry at all IMO -

Jake is/was claiming poverty for the shipping. And whilst I disagree that my hard earned goes to help that little scrote, I have known Incx for some time through the Warwick forum and want to make sure he actually gets his bass. I expect Jake to pay us back (especially after that apology) but I'll believe it when I see it. -

Tenner in from me. Did Steve manage to speak to Jake without punching him in the face? Has Jake contributed to shipping? I expect Jake to pay us back for this - the actual money can go to charity as far as I'm concerned. -
Post your pictures, Lets see what you all look like.

Some of the band wanted to re-record the vocals on the album, it was me that refused, having put in such a massive effort mixing the thing, I couldn't bear to go back to it -
bass octopus: thats the beauty of your press photo... no one can ever tell who has been replaced *lol* i wish i would have your luck too, since our vocalist left. you have to laugh at the reason he left - he left because of the fact that i do not act "metal" enough.
Ours left the day we received the pressing of our debut album. I produced, mixed, recorded it and put 18 months of my life into it and the day the cds turn up, he goes mental and suggests replacing all the band with "more photogenic" members - apart from himself of course. What a to$$er!!!!!!!! Still our new singer is much better. And we wiped the old guy off our best tracks and put them on Myspace with the new singer. Only problem now is we have now have no motivation to sell the CD with the old guy on (BTW How can you play Vampyre's and not be metal enough? ) -
oh, any pics with the infinity? and... do you really perform with the mask on? i was thinking its a good idea if one of you wants to have a day off, you can always put the mask on a session musician, and ppl will still think its the same band *lol* i wonder if Slipknot does that
No Infinity pics yet! We thought about performing with the masks on, but it would just be too hot and we wouldn't be able to see anything. Cue tripping into the audience! We've changed our singer now, but our new one's so much better we want everyone to know the old one has left -
Grrr, wish I'd made it. That Phil Jones thing looks mental, how did it fair against the others?

Difficult, when I've spent the last 4 days holed up on the sofa with only Bargain Hunt and Top Gear repeats to keep me company

This on the Warwick forum http://www.warwick.de/forum/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=8772 Giles had said he'd pick the bass up as he thought Jake was based in Birmingham. It turns out the bass is in Brighton. Can anyone help with this please. Cheers Neil

Here's me And one of the full band -
Can't believe this, completely floored by a nasty flu bug this week, so looks like I'm going to miss the NEBB which was set up for me. Doh!!!!!!!!!! Sorry guys - unless I make a miraculous recovery I won't be there. Thanks for setting this up for me WH I've organised many forum things and know how annoying it is when people drop out of this kind of thing, so really annoyed that I'm the one dropping out. Sorry.
You could always come up to edinburgh to hear mine at full blast ;-) alternatively, isn't there a guitar guitar in the newgate centre in newcastle? The one up here is an Eden stockist.
There is and I know the manager. However he has nothing in stock and I'm loathed to ask him to ship one down from Glasgow as I will likely buy in the States when I'm over for Christmas, and probably second hand. I rarely ever buy new gear. I'm up in Edinburgh quite often so I'll have to try one there. I'm not one for making an amp decision in a shop though.
-
Jacko, as an Eden owner I demand that you make an appearance. This whole thing was so I could try an Eden, and pretty much the only amp we haven't got is an Eden Doh!"!!!!!!!!!

I bought a second hand Series 6 AH300 around 1993. It was built in 1989. I've used it for many gigs, it's been stored in a damp garage for 4 years unused, been in the back of many a van and generally abused. And it still works perfectly and sounds great. Mine has the heavy duty foam-like casing (made out of the same material as the bumpers of a Porsche 928) and lovely 80s UV light

In my experience of organising forum stuff, it's easier just to give people a time, you'll never please everyone!
-
Either for me. There's going to be at least 3 of us, so at worst it's only going to be £6 each, not worth worrying about really. Would be interested to try a GK. I saw Extreme last night and Pat Badger's bass sound was superb. 3 x GK 8x10s Couldn't see his rack, so not sure what amps he was using.
-
That's a shame, thanks for trying though We still haven't found an Eden in the North East though. Bugger!!!!

Alreet then Mr pedant

Do you want me to change the thread title to NEBB (please being an Eden along)

Another vote for Pitchblack here. Very good piece of kit for the money.
