1. There's a lot of the old manuals on the Trace Elliot website. I recently downloaded a scanned in manual for my 89 AH300 head from there
2. Just PMed Jake. I'm getting a bit bogged down in Christmas, and work and we're off to the States in a week on holiday, so I'm going to postpone this until I get back in January. Any trades please PM me and I'll get back to you when I get back. Jake has first refusal if no trades turn up Cheers Neil
3. Will check and get you some photos of the back with the Thunderfunk in situ.
4. Thanks guys. Would prefer to trade as a new case will cost me a bit more - unless I can find used... I'll give it to the weekend Jake, if nothing has materialised by then I'll be in touch
5. Proel 2U rack bag. £30 + postage It's in good condition with no rips, tears or stains.
6.
Really happy with it, but I'll report back properly after my practice on Saturday
Surpassed all expectations at practice and I play in a loud rock band. Even the rest of the band commented on how much better it sounded than the Trace Elliot
7. Thanks for the offer, but a Thunderfunk has just been purchased and I am more than happy with it
8. I think so! It's no noisier than the Trace Elliot. There is hum though - just not enough to bother me at the volumes I play at
9. Yep - capped so you can port your cab differently Posted a pic of mine here http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...mp;#entry345302 Not sure how to link an attachment to another thread without uploading again
10. Loads more punch and clarity than the Trace. It's significantly lighter (which is definitely a good thing!) and I've dialled up my old Trace sounds really quickly on it without having to resort to the parametric. Really happy with it, but I'll report back properly after my practice on Saturday
11. MCGraham's old Thunderfunk turned up today. As luck would have it, I had a day off booked today. What a great sounding amp this is, chuffed with my purchase! The test rig....
12. My Thunderfunk arrived from MCGraham today. I was initially concerned as he didn't take paypal, but after some research decided he was who he said he was etc. It turns out he's great guy to do business with, and I have no problems recommending him as a seller on here.
13. I have one of these and it is a cracking little amp - unbelievable quality for the money. In fact I almost bought a WT based on the sound of this, but a Thunderfunk diverted me from my path!
14. I run a Honda S2000 which gets put away in the winter, and I buy a banger for 5-6 months. This year I got a 1997 Mitsubishi Galant 2.0l Auto. Fully loaded with toys, 12 months MOT, 6 months tax, and a genuine 55k miles. Currently it stands me at £600. A nice but dull car. Should have nmo problem shifting it for £500 in March either And what's the point in Warwick pron, when you don't see the back.
15.
I mean look at Warwick's, you pay £1100 for one and its worth £450 the week after, what's the point of that?
As per my earlier post - for the sensible amongst us, it means amazing basses for no money if you don't want to buy new £900 (RRP £2500) £1100 (RRP £3800) £900 (RRP £1800) I made money on the SS1 and I bet you I won't lose a penny on the other two.
16. Just buy second hand and have your top end stuff for half the price. I currently have a Thumb and Infinity 5 string. RRP for the pair - £6500, cost to me £2000. Thumb has been with me for 15 years and never missed a beat. I don't understand people who buy this stuff new - you must have money to burn - same as cars I guess!
17. Listening to those vids makes me even more impatient for my Thunderfunk to arrive. This time next week with a bit of luck
18. Let's not forget that Reuel has already paid Jake to ship the bass once already, so claiming poverty is no excuse. I personally think if he was sorry he would have handed over one of his precisions to be auctioned on ebay to pay for this. Just goes to prove he's not sorry at all IMO
19. Jake is/was claiming poverty for the shipping. And whilst I disagree that my hard earned goes to help that little scrote, I have known Incx for some time through the Warwick forum and want to make sure he actually gets his bass. I expect Jake to pay us back (especially after that apology) but I'll believe it when I see it.
20. Tenner in from me. Did Steve manage to speak to Jake without punching him in the face? Has Jake contributed to shipping? I expect Jake to pay us back for this - the actual money can go to charity as far as I'm concerned.
21. Some of the band wanted to re-record the vocals on the album, it was me that refused, having put in such a massive effort mixing the thing, I couldn't bear to go back to it
22.
bass octopus: thats the beauty of your press photo... no one can ever tell who has been replaced *lol* i wish i would have your luck too, since our vocalist left. you have to laugh at the reason he left - he left because of the fact that i do not act "metal" enough.
Ours left the day we received the pressing of our debut album. I produced, mixed, recorded it and put 18 months of my life into it and the day the cds turn up, he goes mental and suggests replacing all the band with "more photogenic" members - apart from himself of course. What a to$$er!!!!!!!! Still our new singer is much better. And we wiped the old guy off our best tracks and put them on Myspace with the new singer. Only problem now is we have now have no motivation to sell the CD with the old guy on (BTW How can you play Vampyre's and not be metal enough? )
23.
oh, any pics with the infinity? and... do you really perform with the mask on? i was thinking its a good idea if one of you wants to have a day off, you can always put the mask on a session musician, and ppl will still think its the same band *lol* i wonder if Slipknot does that
No Infinity pics yet! We thought about performing with the masks on, but it would just be too hot and we wouldn't be able to see anything. Cue tripping into the audience! We've changed our singer now, but our new one's so much better we want everyone to know the old one has left
24. Grrr, wish I'd made it. That Phil Jones thing looks mental, how did it fair against the others?
