  1. Selling my Mark Bass STD151HR 8ohm 1 x 15 cab with horn. This is a great cab in great condition and comes with an excellent condition Roqsolid cover. Lightly gigged but not for about 8 years. I bought new in 2014 and it has never been thrown in a van or mistreated. These paired with the 2x10 make a superb lightweight powerful rig. Reason for selling - I don’t do function gigs any more so I’m keeping the 2x10 for small gigs and moving to a heavy Ampeg 4x10 for my rock gigs.
  2. Price drop for a Saturday. £2000 a lot of hand made vintage bass for the money. 🙂
  3. Warwick Streamer 1986. £2000 This is from the hand built golden era of Warwick and is an absolute beauty. It’s in stunning condition for it’s 38 years. All original (except one replacement knob and the battery cover both of which are later Warwick genuine replacements). Preamp is one of the sought after Vlado hand built preamps. Pickups are the exceptionally rare and sought after Seymour Duncan with dip switches fitted at the factory as a new option and unlike many, they are in full working order. Super light, super slim neck and body. It’s a joy to play, being recently set up by Dave Wilson. I’d always wanted one of these since I started playing in ‘86 but the neck is just too slim and I don’t find it works for me as I’m used to wide, five string necks. Happy to keep it as a piece of wonderful wall art but it should be played really. I've owned it since around Dec 2021. I don't have a case for it, but I'm sure I could find a generic hard case in the loft if you need one. I'm a long time and known Warwick user on the forums. (I also have '91 Thumb NT, '03 Infinity NT and Corvette Ltd ) Happy for a chat or come up and play it - I’m in the Tyne Valley, UK. 4. Giving this some serious thought. Problem is the distance. I prefer to play before I buy and I’ve no chance to get down South in the near future. Il have a think.

  9. Bump, this bass is proving so difficult to sell and I don't know why These basses are £619 at Andertons now https://www.andertons.co.uk/bass-dept/bass-guitars/sire-v2-updated-marcus-miller-v7-swamp-ash-5-string-natural
  10. Bump. My very old, analogue and probably inaccurate bathroom scales have this down at around 9.5lb.
  11. Gen1 Sire V7 5 string, bought from Thomann in 2016. It then went straight to Dave Wilson for a setup, and fret dress . It’s done a small number gigs but not many, as it was mainly my backup bass so just sat in a case. I now have too many basses and this is bottom of the pile. Like new condition - only blemish is a small crack in the laquer on the edge pictured. Lovely guitar - looking for a firm £300. Don’t bother offers please as I don’t need to sell it and it’s worth the asking price to me as a backup. Based in Stocksfield Might be interested in trades for something with investment potential - 4 string jazz/Musicman You can hear it recorded here https://youtu.be/mLGfqv_dKeo
  12. 2008 bass. I bought it from the original owner this time last year. Black with black pickguard Original hardcase including original Ernie Ball cloth. I’ve fitted a white Pearl style pickguard from WD Music, but I still have the original too. Great condition, just a few string marks behind the bridge. Not a single chip to the finish down to the wood that I can see. Set up by Dave Wilson and not gigged since. I have the original purchase invoice from the previous owner. Love the Ray sound but can’t get on with the body size and string tension compared to my Warwick’s. Most solidly built bass I’ve ever owned - quality is fantastic. Collection only or I can meet within sensible distance of NE43 Would be interested in a straight swap for an equally well loved 4 string Stingray with maple board.

  14. Crazy how little these basses are worth. I'd like to sell my V7 5 string but below £300, you kind of think what's the point in selling it
  15. Steinberger Bass that I bought to use at my caravan a few months ago. I just don’t get on with it. Full, as new working order. No damage - I can just see a tiny scratch on the back. Plays well, sounds good, strings still bright. Comes with gig bag. Collection definitely preferred as I don't have a box to send it in. Currently up at Bamburgh, Northumberland but can bring it down to Tyne Valley/Newcastle from 16th August. Would trade/swap for a Kala U Bass. I'm on holiday this week so I might be a little slower to respond than usual.
  16. John East customised the standard MEC preamp and gave it a mid sweep as well as making it sound sweeter apparently.
  17. This is a custom shop build Warwick Triumph 5 string (E-C) that I bought from Divine Comedy bass player Simon Little in 2019. It has a custom John East preamp and comes with a cool stickered up (Jools Holland etc) flight case plus original soft gig bag and stand. This bass has been gigged plenty and toured. Retail on one of these is about €7500 + VAT and you are unlikely to ever bump into another one!!! This is a real one off professional instrument. (Which is a shame as I'm nowhere near good enough on upright to justify it!). I love having it in the house but I am not a good upright player and don't really have the inclination to learn enough to be able to justify an instrument of this calibre if I'm honest. Would be interested in trading down to a much cheaper upright that I can justify - 4 string Triumph Rockbass or similar, max value of £500. Equally happy with a cash deal. I don't want to courier this. It is huge and heavy so collection or meet up only although I doubt the hardcase would fit in my current car.
