8. Just put all my pedals together for a laugh. Kept me amused for a while Dont use half of them really. Signal was: Aphex PF > DHA > 105q > ABY= A= Modded DS-1, Bogdan, DOD, Modded BM, Guvnor > Superfly Amp > Eden 2x10 B= Nano BB > SYB-5 > CEB-3 > Whammy > 3Pro > 1x15. Pointless, yet fun.
 9. All Daves pedals are migrating to Maidstone! Great guy to deal with, fast postage and well packed. Thanks Dave!
 10. bump, more added.
 11.
Hi, Ahoy hoy! I guess some folk would have more pedals than they commonly use, with a couple they very rarely use. What are the effects you do actually use regularly? OD, Boost, Wah, Chorus Why did you get those pedals? Was it to achieve a particular sound you needed for a cover? Was it to try out something new? Answered it with the second and third part of that question. Do you think there are some core effects most bass players will need, or should have? No, its all subjective. The other day i played bass straight to the amp and it sounded fantastic, only thing i had was my amps 2nd channel for a fatter boost. My thinking (as a bassist in a rock covers band) is that the essential effects are compressor (not strictly an effect, I know), some sort of overdrive or distortion, chorus, and some sort of EQ. Then maybe also an octaver and a delay. For covers, anything to get close to the sound (if thats your thing). I know many bassists who do covers without effects and pull it off just aswell I'm currently using a mish-mosh of my own and my guitarist's pedals - tuner -> wah -> -> distortion -> chorus -> EQ -> DI (which is also an overdrive & EQ). Pics of your set up? My own (all-owned-by-me) set-up will be more or less the same, albeit with different models of pedal. Mark
12.
Hey hang on .. He may have just jumped up on stage in teh break and "borrowed" a guitar from some random band that was playing at a wedding he attended......
Afraid not Burn away!
 13.
Are you sure you're on the right forum?
My recent guitar playing must be changing me.....
 14. A few times ive got someone up on stage for a simple song, shown them what fret to put their finger on and ill strum it, always goes down well. As for borrowing or asking to have a go, yeah why not, its just a bass, just dont touch the amp haha.
 15.
However the Gotoh 201 is an awesome bridge for £30.
+1

 21.
Is unlined a real word...? If so, then yes I meant 'unlined' It'd be interesting to know how many were made by Fender, or what years they were for sale. You just don't see them very often.
I see 'unlined' more often than 'unmarked', so ill stick with that. Yeah they're a rarity, the closest fender seem to do is the Tony Franklin, which is a p/j. Oh and thanks bh2, i got that bass from BC's 'steve', its a dream to play. Dimarzio pup, Piezo bridge, stack vol/tone...yum.
 22.
One thing I'm always on the lookout for is an unmarked fretless Precision, as not many of them seem to be out there.
Unlined?
