DHA VT-1 Kit :)

My VT-1 kit arrived today! So far im about half way through it (i think), im about to fit 8 wires for the valve holder. Its been 3 hours and counting. This is the 3rd thing ive made, first was a metronome kit, 2nd was a loop pedal. With this kit i was doing fine till the wiring part, its so fiddly for me, im having a short break right now, let the eyes and brain relax haha. The instructions you get with the kit are simple and clear, the pictures help alot. Pics of my progress to follow....
4. Hmm shouldve looked around more before posting this thread: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/MERIDIAN-PORTABLE-ST...1QQcmdZViewItem
5. Hi all. Im looking for a cheap PA for the band and came across this one: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/KUSTOM-KPA-80-PORTAB...Q2em118Q2el1247 Seems like a good deal. Opinions? *EDIT* Should say itll just be for practices, we can get a full-size PA for gigs.
6. Updated with 105q BDDI>ODB3>105q>CEB3>TU2>bluemax
7. The 105q from Higgie arrived today, he sold it to me even though he wasnt selling it. It arrived safely and well packaged. Thanks James.
8. each one of mine has its own job and memories. Squire Bronco - First bass, cant part with it ever, its purpose was to start me off, would probably gig it one day just for fun. SX Jazz - After lusting for a Jazz bass i finally got one, after a few mods its beautiful, its purpose was as my main gigging bass. Ibanez ATK405 - My 2nd 5'er, after hearing the sound of a 4 string ATK i had to get one. Used for most dropped D songs so i can play it in one position rather than drop tune, and thats its purpose. Fender Aerodyne - To fill in my need for a P-bass. but with a twist, so far its excelled (Thanks Paul). Its my main bass at the moment, and when i get back into gigging itll take over the SX's duties.
9. Wireless (rarely used, only when live) > Sansamp (on 90% of the time) > Boss ODB-3 (for more drive) > Boss CEB3 > Boss TU-2 (some people say that it should be before the sansamp to mute both output and DI, but i use my ashdown DI) > Presonus Bluemax Comp. Thats my chain, ive moved things around, tried it all in different layouts, but this ones always worked.
10. umph mate is the red onion still avaliable? Edit pm sent
11. Tried the heavier gauge strings: 055, .070, .090, .105. And wow theres alot of difference in a .5/.10.
12. I smile inside when something like this happens.

15. damn man you mustve created some new swear words when you did that! So far so good for mine. Only damage inflicted is my upgrades haha.
16. Aye, i checked it out before, just didnt mention any size for the bt7. Anyway i emailed them earlier and just got a response: ''My name is Bill Woolery and I'm a Tech at Hipshot. Thank you for your question about our Extender keys. I'm sorry to say that we do not offer an Extender that is a direct replacement for your bass. These tuners have both a smaller base plate and a smaller (7/16") string post. The closest match would be a BT-7 Extender, but would require you to re-drill both the mounting and string post holes. Please feel free to contact us if you have any other questions.''
17.
Hi All, Anyone heard anything from 6SB? Sent PM 2 days ago and no reply.
Nope, i was wondering the same awell. We went through the transaction, i havnt heard anything since.
18. The GK head you're after goes to 4ohm, so you can use the 2 neo cabs safely with it, because they are 8 ohm each, two 8 ohm cabs makes 4 ohms.
19.
well hopefully im gonna try and get it second hand (from someone on here probably), and i would only buy 1 neo cab for the time being. but the thing is, if i get 2 neos, that will be like 1200W from each of them, which will kinda overload the 450W head. i should probably get the 700W head, but its too expensive, unless i can find one second hand. if not then i'll just get the 450W head and two of the 2x10 RBH cabs and stack them
I think you've got something wrong somewhere, using cabs rated at 1200w will not damage the head. Its the OHMS you need to look out for.
20. i have one, havnt used it for ages though, might have to dig it out
