1. Anthony is A1, top geezer. We've had a few successful deals together over the last year or so and I can honestly say its all gone very well. Thank you. Good luck with the build.
2. Top bloke to deal with. No hassles no worries.
3. If I wasn't having a major clear out at the moment I would consider buying it. I think it's beautiful.
4.
The best bit of the story is they picked it up at a car boot fair (Baylands) for £? Too far for me to travel to, so I am off to my nearest one this Sunday....just in case Ha! So they stand to make a decent return, whatever it goes for! £350 max IMHO, anymore and you've got far too much money.
Fooking car boots, heard about a guy who bought a Rolex worth £8000 at a car boot. Make ya sick.
5.
Some red wines really make me talk a lot of sh*t. ah.. a fellow bullsh*tter after too much vino, I salute you brother!
Good morning sir.
6.
How much do JV Squiers go for with non-original pickups and controls/wiring.... £600 maybe? Which would make this worth £400 max? We shall see.
I reckon it will finish shy of £400, anymore and it's gettin dodge. I hate when I'm biddin on something and you get to the point where any more is too much but you could justify a few more quid if the maybes work out. So a bid a little more and still some body outbids ya. Makes me feel empty inside like I've given a piece of me away but it still wasn't enough. Some red wines really make me talk a lot of sh*t.
7. Sheet of thick styrofoam under your cab. It will still sound loud in your flat bit it won't reverberate around the building as much. Don't whack it up too loud though and play at considerate sensible times.
8.
Not sure what you mean... is that photo we see taken from someone else's account? Or just a wrong photo of unclear provenance? Also, try re-posting this in the Site Issues subforum.
Sorted.
9. I'm not sure whose avatar it is, but it ain't mine. Can anyone help. Mods??????
10.
Sorry mate, but I'm guessing someone else woulda pointed it out sooner or later if I hadn't.
No worries mate I'm only kidding.
11.
I think a lot of people twigged that it's a JV - just seeing the tort plate on it got me thinking it was a JV, and judging by the questions a lot of others were thinking the same thing. And since he's added the serial number it'll show up on saved searches of the text. So probably not quite the bargain it might have been. It'll be very interesting to see what it eventually goes for. £650? Maybe more, as people can get a bit silly and mentally take possession of hidden 'bargains' like this.
I wouldn't go higher than £400 on this. No pups, the seller hasn't a clue what it is or what state it's in. Lot of unknowns here. £400 would be a good buy.
12. Cheers Pete, I had beedy eye on this one. Now it seems every bass player in the country is bidding on it. Lol.
13.
Looks to me like one of those limited edition Encores with the gold hardware. I posted some scans of a review a while back.
+1
14. Years ago I was singin in a four piece band, we had a fifth member(the roadie) everything was split 5 ways and he was happy. We helped him set up and lug etc, but it was ultimately his responsibility to sort the gear and the sound out. It worked really well we paid for the fuel etc. if you can find someone to come in on a deal like that I would highly recommend it. One major drawback is that every gig becomes a piss up for the rest of the band.
15. Maybe I'm being a bit harsh actually I retract the dickhead comment. I also apologise for being unnecessarily offensive. It's an ugly piece of crap and the guy was making it out to be something it's not, this does not warrant me calling him a dickhead and I once again would like to state that I apologise.
16. Did a little business with Andy a while ago. Top bloke.
17. Any and I did a little business a few weeks back. Top bloke.
18. That guy is obviously some kind of dickhead.
19.
that's their style tho isn't it?
Absolutely, but the whole thing had a real negative feeling.
20.
now that's what I call a roadie doing his job!!
I found the link quite depressing. The band seemed so uninterested. One of the greatest bands of all time.
21.
Haven't we seen this before? Dealers put up the ad to take advantage of a free listing day and add the details later.
Exactly
22. You'll have to Learn to play with your other hand.
23. Interparcel do a pallet service, I did a sample quote a moment ago and to send a pallet 100cm x 100cm x 45cm high with a max weight of 240 kg from London to Manchester costs £45 plus vat. Not bad so check it out. All you need is an old pallet and some shrink wrap.
24.
Need to move a 55kg cab from one end of the UK to the other. TNT want £200 to do so whilst a lot of other couriers don't seem to go above 50kgs. Anyone got any alternatives? Thanks Chris
Tell the courier it's under 50kgs. No one will weigh it. I can gaurantee you that. They are far too busy.
