2.
No, I am Spartacus!
Oh yes, that's much better. I must confess I'm a little turned on......
 3. It's because you are a girl..... Ye can't stick at anything. One week it's short scale next its medium and so on..... Yada yada
 4. I am me. Playing the bass is something I enjoy doing. I do many things I enjoy but none of them define me completely. I am the sum of all those things not forgetting the things I do but hate. They too contribute to the patchwork of my being. Nowadays, first and foremost I am a parent.
 5.
I'm Spartacus.
I am Spartacus. I'm Spartacus doesn't have the same firmity or conviction. It's the little things.......
 6. Iain and I did some business lately. It was a very nice experience. Don't be afraid. He is a totally awesome dude.
 7. Awesome deal with sprocket flup(Dave), totally cool. Please deal with confidence.
 8.
Bloomin' 'eck! Just catching up with this and wow... I don't think we've ever had two such clear front runners before.
Totally thrilling stuff. I'm hooked on the voting this month. Both great tracks one of them has the edge for me though. This is a pretty high vote this month already.
 9.
My attention keeps being drawn to the 'sleeping face' on the left side of the pillow every time I look at the pic... Anyone else see this..?
Yessir........ It's a little spooky. I like it.
 10. Neck and neck......... Woohoo exciting times.
 11. I've listened to all the tracks now and I have to say that one in particular was very prominent. I will listen again today whilst driving my car. I will vote after that. The tracks are consistently good here I must say. There is a lot of talent in this competition, it's a shame it doesn't get more exposure or support. How feasible would it be to pm all members every month with a reminder to listen and vote. There must be a way of doing it quite easily.
 12.
I might get an apogee interface. I would like the one that takes a mic too though
Yep me too...... I had a duet 2 and sold it as I wasn't getting the use. I now use an apogee one and I desperately regret selling the duet. The problem with these portable apogee interfaces is the breakout cables, they are a bit finicky and they often play up. I'm on the lookout for something at the moment. I might move away from apogee completely. You can pickup an original duet for small money on eBay at the mo. I saw one go for £140 last week. Well worth that.
 13. My original plan for this picture was a rumpety pumpety trombone trumpet type mash. However when my daughter asked me why the elephant was sad the picture took On a whole other dimension for me. Hope you like it. http://m.soundcloud.com/theboysings/dreams-of-d Made this on my phone again. GarageBand app for the phone is really good.
 14. I've seen this a thousand times...... It's really quite common where one band are really successful at what they do and other bands will copy the formula. This does sound to the extreme but it's not uncommon. As musicians/artists it's not something we would readily admit and I bet the second band aren't even fully aware of the extent to which they are ripping the first band off but I think we are all a little bit guilty of it. When I started putting bands together years ago I was into the whole Jim Morrison thing I had the hair and the trousers and affected his drawl. Morrison wasn't very popular during that era so it went largely unnoticed. However flash forward 5 years and the doors had a massive rebirth and every lead singer in the country was a Jim Morrison wannabe. By this time the band i was in had a massive set list of thin lizzy, Rory Galagher, the doors, the who and on and on. This music became very popular again and very quickly you had dozens of bands in our area with identical set lists to us almost overnight. What we were doing was working and people wanted a slice of it. I guess what I'm trying to express is that sometimes when it's hard to find your own voice or style in this business a lot of people will turn to whats popular or works so that they can still be involved in music whilst finding a style or method that suits them best. I know I've done it.
 15.
Taking the boy to the Manchester gig next week. Way back in the arena so better take my opera glasses
What a way to break it to me. Thank you so much. I am beside myself with excitement.
 16.
That fellow from Solidarity , Lech Walesa ( yes , I had to look up how to spell that) , had a lovely moustache, but we better not go there...
You are a sick individual. Lol..... What's this about you getting banned from ot. What the hell did you do. I've not been going there much as I didn't have the time to rationalise with the irrational anymore. I've been over there lately and your absence has been noted.
 17.
My last band had a female trumpet player
Resisting the temptation to say something sexist................ It's very difficult.......... It actually hurts...........
 18.
"the junk yard dogs".
Great name.......
 19. Hey buddy, I thought about this a lot today and I reckon you are gonna have to put this down to a lesson learned scenario. I'm not convinced by their communication with you on Facebook and their early departure post gig confirms their guilt to me but unless you are prepared to get nasty with them, then there isn't really any other solution I can see apart from drop it and move on.
 20.
The only records my Dad listened to were Harry Belafonte's Greatest Hits and a Music For Pleasure compilation album of Big War Film Movie Themes. Maybe being exposed to that music as a child explains why I have grown up with a love of reggae and compulsion to invade Poland.
That conjured up a comical image of a load of Rastas invading modern day Poland and having a massive Rave with all those fit Polish birds.
 21. I'm confused about this. You got f***ed over buddy but you did tell him it was ok to use........ I feel for you big time. Would it of blown if you'd used it. Almost certainly not. You gave him fair warning that the amp was powerful. It's not a clear cut case. If he used it without permission it would be a different story. It's a tough call here. Him taking off after the gig was pretty bad also I need to think about this. I'll post again tomorrow.
 22.
I don't think it is anything too bad as its not hurting anywhere near as much today when i play, but I'm booked in to see the GP anyway. Thanks for the replies guys, i will definitely make more effort in taking care of my hands from now!
Good call. I caught my left hand index finger on a rusty nail at work last week. No big deal...... However it's now infected and hurting like hell. Got some iodine today so let's hope. It looks like nothing but it's extremely debilitating. Man I'm a pussy.
 23.
You do work fast, sir! Good stuff, I really enjoyed that. The drums sounded good - am I right in understanding that was just you programming a plugin, or was there some triggering trickery going on?
A magician and his tricks......... Etc..etc.
 24.
Here we go, folks, the ball is now rolling (and in your court..!). Here's my offering for this months Challenge... Dreams of a patchy dormeur... Let me know if there's any problems with the link, or whatever... Enjoy...
Ok....... That was amazing. It sounds like the music that goes on in my head but I don't have the skill to translate it into something audible. Well done. It's gonna take a lot to beat that in my mind.
