1. Wow some good recommendations there. I'll post info on my choice and how I got on. I'm not sure about Terry P though, isn't it all a bit ghouls and goblins. Please let me know if I'm wrong as I'm always open to new ideas.
 2. Is it a cowpoke. The decal still looks a little suspect but the headstock is very much like cowpoke to me.
 3.
Are we talking music themed, as we're in General Discussion?
Preferably not music themed. I've read enough stories and tales about crazy bands and their antics etc etc... So I'm basically looking for a good laugh.
 4.
Apart from that Solo album by the Scandinavian Swedish Chef mentioned earlier, there will always be 'someone' who knows the album offered up. Some might take weeks, but we will get there in the end. Part of the fun.....innit bruv.
Absolutely, I'm a simple soul though and I need rules, boundaries as it were. Once the rules are established them there's always room for a little chaos but if chaos is the stepping stone then brimstone is surely the journeys end.
 5.
May I just mention that, in topics such as this, it's very useful to 'quote' the post being replied to. This reduces some of the confusion (eg: "What are you replying to, the post above or the one from the previous page..?" etc...). Just sayin'; as you were.
Etiquette of the topic...... Rules etc. I wasn't referencing any particular post. Things seemed to be getting a little haphazard. Do keep up old boy.
 6.
Apparently the former after my hideous faux pas
I was wondering. Thank you.
 7. What's the etiquette here????? Does the person who guesses or recognises the previous list get to pick the next one or do people simply wade in with obscure choices on the hope that no one else knows their choice.
 8.
It's crazy how cheap his basses go for used. That looks lovely!
It's an issue with most things customised.
 9.
I find it astonishing how clueless some people are with gear... cranking everything up to ten then wondering why it breaks or sounds sh*t. I wonder how these people have managed to get to adulthood without electrocuting themselvs trying to play bass in the bath or something....
I must stop playing bass in the bath...... Thanks for the reminder.
 10.
I also loved saturday mornings in my local record shop and deciding what to buy that week. Most of my vinyl singles are from 1970 when I had a paper round and would buy one single each week after I got paid on saturday and I would spend the whole week waiting for the new charts to come out and listen to the radio to decide what that single would be. 7/6d they were . . . . or 37.5p in today's currency. But I soon moved up to buying LPs instead of singles and can still remember the absolute thrill of listening to Tubular Bells through headphones in the record shop and thinking it was like nothing else I'd ever heard, which pulled me away from chart singles and into the world of prog rock. Wonderful times! But I did all those things because they were the only way to access music in those days. I didn't go to record shops for nostalgia - that's a product of getting 40 years older! - I went to find and listen to music. Kids today won't miss those experiences because they have their own ones to build up and become nostalgic about when they are older . Besides, they have more music at their fingertips than any generation in the history of mankind, so why would they want to make such a backward step and limit themselves to a few trays of discs in a record shop? Nostalgia ain't what it used to be
Well said that man.... Totally goes against everything I said but I can't deny you are right.
 11.
Remember the unwritten yet golden rule: NO BAGPIPES! Please
You cannie be serious laddie....
 12.
i used to love walking into HMV and listening to music on there in house headphones, and discovering new music. but like FlyFisher, i can do that from my computer now. anything is at my fingertips. i still look back to it and enjoyed it though. sitting on my sofa and getting things easy, is not quite the same as flicking through a shelf full of cd's. its just not the same.
Me too... There was always a couple of birds hanging about. Bit of a laugh and a flirt. It was awesome. Obviously being a bit older now I won't be popping down to hmv on a Saturday afternoon to flirt with schoolgirls but you get the sentiment.
 13.
I only buy CDs/DVDs, for the reason of having a physical format, uncompressed and (generally) with no DRM restrictions. But I won't be bothering with the high street because I don't want to go to all the trouble of driving into town, finding somewhere to park, then paying to park, then walking to the high street shop, then spending time looking for something they don't actually have in stock, then walking back to my car, then driving back home having wasted most of a morning or afternoon. Instead, I'll sit down in my comfortable study with a nice cup of tea, open a web browser on my PC, find exactly what I want, buy it and then carry on with whatever I was doing 10 minutes ago. A few days later the item arrives at my door. For that level of convenience I don't even care if I pay a few pounds more than a high street shop (which I save on petrol & parking anyway). I wish HMV no ill, but I can't be sad about their eventual demise because I'm part of their problem. Like millions of other people.
This..... However there is something romantic about buying from a store as a teenager. I'm sad that that experience may become extinct for a lot of today's youth. I hope hmv make a strong comeback and give music some high street tangibility or relevance.
 14.
Try this for size... Wind In The Wire (54 + 1...)... Enjoy...
Fits like a glove.
 15. What an awesome picture. I really hope I get time for something this month.
 16. Well done Skol. Strong comeback in the last day or so. Now.... Where's this months picture.
 17. Got my 2i2 back today. No issues with tuning on reaper I updated logic x earlier and I had a play around. It all seems to be ok. Happy days. Still not sure what the issue was but it seems good now. Thanks for the input guys.
 18. Lowdown got my vote. It was perfect for the picture and Iiked it a lot also. However it wasn't my favourite. My favourite was Bilbos piece but I couldn't connect it with the picture so for that reason he came a very close second. Third for me was bass bus which I thought was awesome but the weird keyboard in the middle threw the mood of the tune out of its groove, but an excellent piece otherwise. All entries were very high again this month so well done to all.
 19. I've had a quick listen to most now. I really love one so far. I'm not sure how it links to the image but I don't think that's really important as peoples interpretation of an image can vary greatly. I have some free time tomorrow so I will have another listen and vote then. Didn't get an entry myself this month. I made a great start but couldn't find the time to put it in the net. Next month hopefully.
 20.
Won it for 99p got to be worth it for the pups bridge etc.
Well done, I'd of had it for that as well. Good buy
 21.
No worries, let me know how you get on When tracking, if the issue occurs when not using Direct Monitor (so monitoring through Logic), you may want to talk to Apple to see if this is something they're aware of a fix to. Cheers Si // Focusrite Technical Support
Good advice. I'll post some details once I've got it all up and running again. My mate is gonna borrow the 2i2 and have a play around on reaper to see how it sounds.
 22.
Hi Bud, This is quite unusual. When you're tracking, are you using the direct monitor switch on or off? If on, you're hearing the sound of your guitar/bass exactly as its fed into the interface (you'll want to disable your DAW input monitoring in this case as mentioned above), if this is fine, I'd suggest the interface is working as it should. If you switch the direct monitor off and so therefore are monitoring your signal through your DAW and the problem occurs, then there maybe a DAW setup issue here. There looks to potentially be an issue with Logic perhaps, although not necessarily the same as your issue: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/5257076?tstart=0 Do you have the same issue with midi as well as audio? Do you have the same issue when using a different DAW? If you don't have another DAW, checkout Reaper as a 'free-to-evaluate', should do what you need to test. Let me know how you get on. Simon // Focusrite Technical Support
Thanks mate, that's a lot to think about and check out. I'll have a look and post some info once I'm done. My mate tells me I'm being paranoid and I might be imagining it. Maybe I am. Thanks for the advice.
 23. "The one in the pic is the one the winner will receive" ??????? Isn't that the idea of the pic? So you can see what you are buying? And the use of the word "winner", what is this guy on. Winner/loser more likely. I really don't know.
