1.
Are you using one of the CH Guitar necks from eBay? If so let me know how you get on!
Yup they're the ones, Hoping it'd be a good neck for £75. Or good enough till I can get an unfinished canary/canary blocked and binded one from warmoth, but that requires extra funds I don't have yet
2. Thought i'd mentioned pickguard haha, will be a black one I have a white one that came with the kit i'll check incase I prefer it but most likely black, to go with the hardware. Only thing that I'm not sure on is whether to still use a chrome control plate or go black with that too, black would fit in more, but chrome might be a bit of variation it could do with, Again I still have the chrome one from the kit so i'll just do test fits ha.
3. Figured i'd start a topic in here as I've finally started to finish a jazz bass kit I bought 3 years. Thought yesterday would be the last decent weather we had for a while possibly, today proves that :/ Colour is Molotow Currant Purple. Looked darker on my pc when ordering but still happy with it. That's its old neck that came in the £100 kit, Being Replaced by a Maple/Maple with Black block inlays. Hardware mostly wilkinson bridge, Tuners etc. All black. Pickups Wilkinson Alnico Pickups, Figured i'd probably not get much better pickups for £55 roughly. Basic jazz bass wiring, V/V/T/Input I believe it is. Hopefully be an update in the next week or two once funds come in to buy all the rest,
4. My Warmoth 5 string Z bass with Jazz and Powerbucker, Built it as a bass to keep forever, and doing so i will be. Was honestly a big gamble as it was my first warmoth, first five string, and first odd pickup combination, But it payed off .

8. I have a Ashdown Mag Evo II 307 1x15 Combo, Great amp, worth the money, At the time where I bought it had the cab and head version for just a bit over the same price, looking back I would've gotten that for easier portability as the cab had I'm guessing side handles whilst the combo only has a top handle. Apart from that it's great, Though apart from going to Neo cabs I can't imagine any company giving much weight reduction in comparison. Just a guess I haven't tried many.
9.
Until now I didn't know purple MusicMan basses existed . This came out of nowhere as I was looking for a white Stingray Solomon: yes save your grant for the tuition fees, after you get your degree you'll be able to buy lot's of nice basses (unless you're getting an arts degree )
Tuition fees are already sorted thanks to parents(Singular now ) who made sure both of us could go to uni if we wanted. But Yeah Games Programming so hopefully I'll get a good income, just MM gas is bad xD. Sorry for bumping a sold bass for sale thread with random chat.
10. Shemeckfrac I grudgingly thank you for saving my student grant from annihilation this semester haha. Congrats on the buy
11. Ah right okay, well I'll let you know if I am when funds are avaliable if it's still avaliable then, Thanks for the reply, By that time i'd probably be alright picking up from either though.
12. Sorry to ask in this one, being a tad impatient and i apologise But how much is the MM Sub you'll be posting another thread for? Just out of interest.
13. Out of interest where in west midlands are you sometimes? Just noticed your Location says Leeds/West Midlands, Or would this bass be collection from Leeds only?
14.
Must admit, if either my Geddy or Lakland went, I would find this hard to resist.
Know the feeling, Considering parting with my Fender P bass for hopefully the same amount about as I keep feeling i'd get more out of this, And Just look at it O.O
15. Sorry if this is a silly question but would you ship to the UK? If these are still avaliable when I next get paid i'll pm you

17. Really nice bass LukeFRC, yours and gjones's basses have shown how I can get my jazz bass finished nicely before the weather gets too cold. Originally I Was going to go with Wudtone, but researching the sanding sealer that was applied to my saga kit body, Apparantly sanding doesn't work too well to remove it. So solid colour purple or green it is..... Just to decide which, Feel more like going purple again.
18. Not the best picture of the bass but only one I have currently. A Candy Cola/Apple (I forget what one it's called as) S-1(Pre 2012) American Standard. Ended Up being my second bass, The last one that would be a gift, So despite occasionally spending a year at home whilst my other bass is at uni with me, I've kept it. Need to bring it up so I have a back up with me.
19. Dang it, wrong side of my driving test by a month or two ha.
20. Damn nice bass, Makes me wish I knew for sure I was getting student grant next month ha. Were you just looking for a sale or were there any basses you'd be interested in trading for it? No harm to ask right
21. I used dolphin for my ashdown bass amp, Incredibly helpful after they said they couldn't send it to an address other than the card billing address (I think over a certain price they have that, not quite sure) but I got a second email from obviously one of the managers asking if I was at university, and if so if I Could send him an email from my university account and he'd have it cleared for shipping after that, and I got the amp perfectly fine. Well besides the power cable had been put at the bottom of the box and the prongs were mangled, But part of me thinks that's a packer at ashdown making a derp. Would use them again if I had money to afford the stuff I want to get.
22.
1.Blue on is still for sale 2. Sound is simillar - it has less brit and more low end - everything is the same as in black - exept the bridge 3.I think bridge affect tone a lil bit - more bass - less treble but the new one is heavy and solid too. 4. I shipped to uk few times - 25GBP I dont use any pedals - just straight to the amp.
Thanks i'll check back once I have funds avaliable then.
23. Hi, just a few questions if it's alright me asking. Is the blue/black one still for sale? Also does it have a similar/ still pretty much the same sound as the other two you have done recordings of? Just as I noticed you mentioned it doesnt' have the original bridge, If that affected it at all. Have you done much shipping to uk/england also? Just out of curiousity, Sorry if any of these questions are bad to ask here. Just with my final year of uni starting (So "spare" money ) and wanting to replace my epi t-bird with something different. Did you have any overdrive pedal or any such thing or is it just straight bass to amp at 3:00 onwards in the video of the black one? Primarily a finger style player hence why I ask If you'd rather talk about any of these in message then go ahead. Thanks,
24.
Hi Solomon, Welcome! As to what to say in these things, I think you coped wonderfully well. There's a heading in the Introductions forum that says something like that one can tell a little about oneself and one's gear. Mission accomplished! Enjoy your stay! best, bert
Yeah that's basically what I went off.
Greetings. You posted this at 4.27am?? And I thought I spent a lot of time at the computer...! Enjoy the site - groove on. BB
Yup didn't quite realise the time haha, Need to sort that sleeping pattern soon before university starts again,
25. Been lurking reading topics a while. Thought i'd say hello. I'm a University student originally from East Midlands, 22, Currently in West midlands at Staffordshire university doing a Computer Games Programming Honours top up Degree. I've been playing bass on and off (Mostly due to lack of dedication at times, getting caught up in other things which always turned sour) for the best part of 6 years, So my playing probably only reflects 1 maybe 2 years worth of consistent practice and playing. Generally into older bands such as deep purple, Sabbath, Iron maiden, Scorpions, Thunder etc. Foo fighters, QOTSA, Airbourne to name a few newer bands I am really into. Gear wise i've settled on a Ashdown Mag Evo II 307watt Combo Amp, Pedals consisting of A Ashdown Overdrive pedal and morley dual wah (Primarily due to For whom the bell tolls...) Basses I have are a Warmoth Z J/Humbucker 5 string, A American Fender Standard Precision, Epi T-Bird and a currently In bits kit bass which will be a jazz bass. Apologies if i've rambled on. Never sure what to say in these things
