1. Superb Akai Unibass for sale. Getting a bit rare these but a great effect. Put your guitarist to shame and show them what riffin' is all about. This is what an 8 string bass should sound like. Uses a standard 9v adaptor, not supplied. Great pedal, great effect. £150 posted. Sounds like this,
2. Passive is cut only so it's not actually boosting anything but cutting something. Sounds like a treble cut to me, remarkably similar to turning down the tone control. Seems a lot of money for a switched tone control.
3. Monday bump.
4. This may help, http://www.questronix.com.au/info/info_tingles.htm
5. I'm impressed, congratulations. A man after my own heart.
6. I do all of ours myself. Buy printable CDs and jewel cases from whoever sells them cheap, I get mine from Amazon. Burn the CDs with Toast. Print the CDs on my trusty Epson Photo R220. Print out the inserts on card for the front insert and paper for the back track listing and get the others, or a friend, to cut them out. Stanley knife and a metal rule work well. This is seriously boring so in the end I paid my nephew a few quid to cut them out. Works out pretty cheap, so more profit if you sell them or less of a loss if you give them away. 7. Great idea, count me in as well.
8. This is an interesting read with regard to sub placement. http://www.padrick.net/LiveSound/SubwooferInfo.htm
9. Looking at the frequency graphs, it looks like the Mackie is nearly 10DB more efficient than the JBL. Two of them will less than that though, about 6-7DB but still quite a lot. Also, do you split the subs, try them next to each other, might make a lot of difference as well.
10. One of these is what you want. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Balanced-Microphone-Mic-Splitter-Transformer-Isolated-Output-Ground-Lift-/111004940746#vi-content
11. Been there, done that, generally a waste of money. As they say, word of mouth is best.
12. Is one pot marked A and the other marked B? A is log and should be volume and B is lin and should be tone. Have you reversed them as that would result in what you're getting.
13. Need a few more to match this though. 1.26 for the best view. Wouldn't want to stack them on my own though.
14. Ah, but what a crazy bass guitar rig it would be!
15. I used to know a bloke who jammed rolled up, old socks between the spider and the frame to stop this very thing. I'd go for and after-market re-cone.
16. Already gassed I'm afraid so need the cash now.
17. Used to own one in the early 80s. Nice bass but didn't get on with the short scale. I used to have to play the bottom string with only half the force of the other string or the notes would go sharp. It's the way I play, I can't help it.
