2.
I'm massively GASing for that one in your avatar at the minute. I very nearly ordered one last night whilst drunk but resisted.
Great bit of kit dude - got my normal amp back today and immediately dialled in some great sounds. Have another beer and order one! Cheers Graeme
3.
If you read the text, you'll find out that the "MARK KING" is only on Mark's personal basses. Production models will have two red star LED's at the 12th. As for "bling", you can switch LED's off, you know
Text was fully read and understood. Still not to my taste...and that Mark King led IS hideous, whoever the bass belongs to!. LED's are an expensive option to switch off...! Not status bashing at all, i'm a fan, but this one is not to my taste Peace and Love Graeme
4. Too much on one bass for me (i loved my own Kingbass) - great for a one off, but not as a production bass...and that Mark King LED is hideous.
5. what a great looking bass, Congrats on your purchase dude.
6.
Me too. Pretty bomb proof, if a tad on the heavy side.
ain't that the truth!
7. I have the blue 60's CV P Bass and love it. I've gigged it with a couple of my bands and it sounds just right. There is something about a PBass that sits so well in the mix. I don't think i could go back to the hassle of lots of knobs and buttons etc Cheers Graeme
8. I would. I had a 62 reissue shell pink strat - used to get loads of admiring comments. Cheers Graeme
9. I had a red one and loved it. I remember being in Holland in the mid 80's and seeing about 5 or 6 black/white ones on stands in a music shop - looked cool as anything! Graeme
10. That's a cracker! have a Friday bump on me!
11. Hi All 1. OLP MM Copy - what a cracker - a steal on Ebay and been giged 30+ times with no issues 2. MIJ 62 Reissue Fender Jazz - Bartolinis added - great bass 3. Washburn MB6 - was great fun trying to learn to play the thing! 4. Squier Classic Vibe P-Bass (just in the process of being sold to a fellow BC'er 5. Westone Thunder 1-A - first ever proper bass, bought with my Dad's redundancy money in the 80's Like others, I have owned loads of basses, and have just realised from reading my own list, that none of the expensive basses i've had have made the list. Strange Cheers Graeme
12. Hi all, looking to trade initially, my classic Vibe P Bass (as per profile pic) for a Jazz of some description, maybe good Squier or Classic Vibe/Modified etc. Bass is nicely set up (45-105) and i've added the pickup ashtray for the authentic vibe. Sale price would be £200 (?) PM me etc if any interest (i'm based in Bromley, Kent) Thanks guys/gals Graeme
I thought it would sell quickly too
I love these and would have snapped it up but for the damage
14.
my '57' Vintage Icon V4 P bass I bought it new, and have added the following features: Fender 10 hole gold anodized scratchplate, customised to fit the bass by me. Black plastic thumbrest JV Squier Precision pups, complete with earthing plate and cloth wires ala 57. Bridge pup cover from later 60's/early 70's, possibly fender but probably jap, nicely pitted and discoloured. Neck pup cover, probably similar age and similar heritage, equally pitted and discoloured. Currently fitted with Status Flatwounds, but i alternate between daddarrio nickle rounds too. Lovely bass. Not had too much experience with other P basses, only ever played cheap p's and the standard Fender MIM and USA models in the shop, but for me this one outplays all of them Still toying with fitting a maple board neck to complete the 57 image, but we'll see.
Bass looks awesome Kev - great work mate Graeme
15. I have one of bass like things, except it's smaller, has 6 thin strings and rhymes with blatoblaster made by Vintage - best £150 i ever spent! More power to them!
16. On looks alone, i bought the 60's CV Precision. Sounds great, looks great, feels great, what more can i say. I'll be getting the other two CV basses as well as i reckon in a few years, these will be sought after...well done Fender/Squier! I haven't tried the VM's, but i'm sure that they play great etc, but i reckon on looks alone, the CV's have it Thanks all - just my humble opinion! Graeme
17. Hi dude - can you give any more info on the Charvel - what's the general condition, is there any fretwear etc? Are you willing to post? Cheers Graeme
18.
PLEASE............TAKE THE CHROME BUMPER OFF OF THAT BASS!!!!!!
+1
19. Loved my Roadie 2a - the wait time seemed to be forever (although mine was only 8 months) but the end result was pure magic - well worth the money and the wait i say!
