Brite Flats are a different string to the Pressure wounds. BF are roundwounds that are ground down then polished. Pressure wounds are just that. Roundwound wrap wire that is put under pressure so the string gets an elliptical wrap instead of round, making for a smoother string.

I've used groundwounds in the past but couldn't get on with them (Elites and D'addario). GHS Brite Flats are a better groundwound from what I've read. Currently very happy with Dunlop flats which are bright and thumpy in a great way that suits any music imho.

I know, I know... how many times have we all said it... I mean it sincerely though. I'm selling all my superfluous instruments in the new year, leaving me with said P bass and my upright. I don't need and have no use for anything else. I'm 50 now, spent the last 20 years going through the whole cycle of bass buying, dopemine chasing madness. It's been a fun (and expensive) ride but now I'm good. Done with twisting, stick! I've cashed in my chips and left the casino.

Cheers mate. I bought mine from the states actually, from a dealer in Florida who shall remain nameless because he helped me out by being "generous" with it's shipping value. Like I said, a massive sweaty gamble... (Don't try this at home kids!). I tried to bring him down on what was already a very fair price because, all in, the cost was beyond me. His response was, "hey man I feel for you but I ain't pickin' up the tab for y'all voting brexit. Here's what I'll do..." I've been looking for one for years and although it's the most I've ever paid for a bass, it was the cheapest I'm likely to ever see one in my lifetime. I just closed my eyes, told myself I'm worth it, and pressed Buy Now. It could have gone so so wrong in many ways. I guess the universe decided I needed a break!
