UPDATE......... With the TF 1020 it sounded very nasal.....and its too heavy to move around , so got a SM7 sleeve on ebay and installed the amp in it , now its a 80W head that I can link up to any 8ohm cab..............I already have a Mesa 112 subway and a Epifani 112 lightweight . Seems to suit the Epifani better (seems even louder now). Pete

Just purchased a BLX80 from ebay , made in 1997 . Arrived with a blown speaker which the seller did not know about ( ! ! ! ! ! ! ) . Tried it out as a head with my Mesa 112 subway cab ..............VERY LOUD for an 80w , and great variety of sound GP7 SM preamp. Read somewhere that the replacement 10 inch driver is a celestion TF 1020 , bought one , and fitted it . Now got a great practice amp , but I need to do some weight training to move it around . Anyone else got one on here ? Pete

Recon I have solved it...................... Put a wrap of "REAL" duck tape (3M - not the cheap stuff from ebay ) around the bits in contact with the headstock...............did this two weeks ago , seems to be no reaction .

Hi Acebassmusic, Have you tried facebook forum for the Headrush Gigboard , I found them very helpfull . Just post a question, and there is usually someone who can answer. Even try sending a message to Headrush themselves , they are a bit slow to answer , but usually do . Pete

Hi, Anyone found a wall guitar hanger that does not react on contact points with GIBSON basses, and cause the Lacquer to melt? My LP Tribute has now got to go to my local Guitar tech to be repaired. Does not happen with my FENDERS, GUILD or TOKAI ! Pete

Hi , MX5 is great for Guitar , I was looking for something to use with my Bass , very limited on the MX5 . Now got a TC Plethora 5X for effects , running with my Laney Digbeth pre amp . Sounds good so far . There are some great sounds ( stock presets ) on the MX5 as a starting point ( if you tweek to suit) Pete

Well worth it , I spent hours watching YouTube vids , reading TC Web sites etc etc to try and solve my problem with the effects loop , then l stumbled on this group on Facebook . Looking at the solution to the problem , it's logical really, just that at 76 years old , I`ve lost most of my logical thinking .

Hi all, After reading this thread , I have bought a used one , and its on its way to me . Sounds very easy to use . At the moment using a Headrush MX5 . One thing , looking at the "MANUAL" if you can call it that , does not explain how you engage the send / return in between two effects . Does anyone know ? Pete

Hi , received it on Sunday returned it the following day, the sounds were very digital ( in my opinion ) seemed to me , to be a step backwards . I`ll stick with my MX5 for the time being . Pete
