  6. The Les Paul Junior Tribute DC Bass is a tribute to the historic Gibson EB-0 bass from the late 50’s, but with modern features, made in USA. This is a short scale Bass. The mahogany double cutaway, open grain body and a maple neck with rosewood fingerboard, balances perfectly. It’s equipped with a single humbucking pickup, with single volume and tone controls for simplicity. The volume pot has a pull - push feature to put the coils in series or parallel, to give you a slightly different tone. Not many of these made. There is an area around the righthand side of the neck, by the headstock, that has reacted with the foam in the wall hanger, and is slightly different in colour, but has no effect on playing (smooth – see picture ) and a ding on the side of the neck ( see picture ) This is reflected in the price . Comes complete with a fitted case (not Gibson - not new) Price includes UK Mainland Insured delivery

  8. Is there any milage in putting a soft start circuit ( the type used for electric drills , circular saws etc , that limits the initial switch on voltage , and gradually increases it ) in the switch on cables in the amp ? Dont know if this can be done , not enough knowledge , just a suggestion .
  9. Fender Player series Stratocaster , Pau ferro fingerboard , Fiesta Red , about three months old , still has protective film on scratchplate ( mint green ). Purchased new , to see if I could take up six string again ................... NO,................. fingers dont move fast enough ! The two marks in the picture of the back , are NOT marks in the body . Price £500 , including UK Mainland Postage .
  10. Hi , Put the above suppressor across the switch contacts ............ Switch on is quieter , and switch off is almost silent ! Pete
  11. I have ordered one of these............
  12. Thank you all for your input . Pete
  13. Thanks for the schematics Bigguy2017 Pete
  14. The black square item , has only two tags connected to board , so it can't be a relay . Have you a schematic of the Peavey T Max then ? Pete
  15. Is this the soft start board in the Peavey T Max. And is the other pic a capacitor . It only has two solder tags in the board, so it is not a relay .
  16. Peavey say they think it could be the mains on / off switch causing an arc during switching giving the pop through the speaker . Does anyone know what resistor and capacitor value I could use for soldering across the contacts in the switch , to stop the arc ? A couple of articles I have read are sayin as a rough guide ........ 1ohm per volt for the resistor and 1mf per ohm for the capacitor across the contacts = 240ohm + 16mf . Anyone know ? Pete
  17. A guy at Peavey has got back to me , and suggests that I get in touch with the service / repair guys at Corby , and ask them about plugging in the speaker after switching on the amp . Rang Peavey at Corby , but the engineers are away at some show till next week . The guy on the phone did say that Solid State Power sections do not have an output transformer ( valve amps do ) I'll give them a ring next week . Confused now........ Pete
  18. sandy_r ☺️.........Brilliant idea........thanks........will wait to see what Peavey say, but if they take too long , I will build one......... thats brilliant . Thanks
  19. Volume on zero ( main and pre amps ) graphic switched out . When switching it on / off at the mains , the pop is quieter . I was always told that with Solid State Power amps , no speaker connected is the same as having an infinate resistance ? I`ll get in touch with Peavey and see what they say . Thanks guys
  20. Hi , I just got hold of an old Peavey T Max Head , when its running its quiet but when I switch it on or off , there is a loud pop through the speakers .( Its an old Solid State amp ) The way I get over it is to connect the speakers after switch on . Anyone any suggestions ? Pete
