  1. How does a 4 or 8 ohm switch work on the back of a cab , when you only have one speaker of 4 or 8 ohms in the cab ?
  2. Hi , Still for sale ? I`ll take it ............Bank transfer ok in morning ? Pete
  3. Anyone run the above direct into a power amp ? Is it any good ? I run mine at moment into a Messa D800 , which seems to be a waste . (Bassman modelling , into Messa Amp.) Pete
  4. For sale my Fender LT50 Modelling amp, in as new condition (still has protective film on screen) 50W 1x12 Combo. Bought for a project that did not materialize.Pick up only (no packing material) Its just been sitting around, gathering dust in my music room.
  5. Hi , Anyone got one ? Pete
  6. Hi guys , Used it Sunday at the gig , but as usual I kept switching to position 1 , then 3 , then 6 , then back to 3 etc etc etc just because they were there !..........too much messing about really . What I will say is that the sounds were all pretty good , all the way around the 6 positions switch . I might leave it on and try to improve the loss volume control , and settle on one sound . Last gig for the band anyhow, so no hurry . I`ll keep you posted Pete
  7. Playing Sunday afternoon , will leave it as it is (but take my Rivoli Bas as a standby just in case ) Thanks for input . Will put Glock preamp in if this turns out to be rubbish .
  8. Here are the two sketches of how the pentatone was wired ......... First one ( A ) correct to the instructions of de lisle..........vol pot works Second one ( B ) My extra cable ( balanced more across the six positions ( still some slight loss in volume ))Vol pot does not work correctly ..... Pete
  9. Had reply from de lisle , l have somehow added an extra wire from volume pot to bass pentatone , hence the loss of volume smoothness (all effect at full turn) BUT , wired correctly as de lisle say , there is a large amount of volume lost as you go through the 6 positions , but the volume control works smoothly . I'm going to leave it with the extra wire , as l prefer the smoother sound , and less volume loss going through the positions . I will post both sketches later today , maybe someone with electrical knowledge can explain? Looks like the Glock will take a back seat for the time being . Pete
  10. While awaiting the Glock , l have fitted a bass pentatone ( 6 position varitone ) to the Gibbo.........very confusing connection info on line for this unit l - have asked de lisle for clarification. The different notch filters give the Gibbo quite a range of sounds , but l seem to have a connection issue, because l have lost the smoothness of my volume control ! Pete
  11. Hi steve-bbb , Fantastic! I had this about 10 years ago when I worked as a guitar tech (retired for last 8 years), somehow lost it, even in German its extremely useful. Thanks for posting it. Pete
  12. Thanks thedontcarebear , just got a reply fromthe Europe address, who got a reply from Gibson USA . Here it is for anyone else.... Pete SCH-LP Tribute DC bass.pdf
  13. Hi , Had a reply from Thomann Tech ( who has been in touch with Glockenklang ) Yep , connect the + on the pup to 3 or 4 on the VOLUME pot , missing out the BALANCE control , and do not connect the MID pot . Pete
  14. Hi , I thought as much , and have asked Glockenklang, and Thomann, without any reply from either . Thanks for info, I feel a bit better getting one , and doing it now . All I need is a Volume and Tone ( I know it will be a ganged pot with treb and bass for the tone ) but thats all I need SIMPLICITY ON STAGE ! Pete
  15. Hi , Has anyone used the above onboard pre amp, and removed the BLEND control , so you have VOL , TREB/BASS (ganged pot) only ? Pete
  16. Hi Guys, I recon it’s a series / parallel pull push because there is no noticeable drop in volume either in or out only a very slight increase in the highs. Reason I require the schematic, is because I am going to remove the volume and tone, and replace with a Glockenklang two band pre amp to get rid of the MUDDY sound. I just want a schematic a) to see exactly what the pull / push does, and b) the four conductor wires from the pickup are a different colour to normal colour codes for Gibson pickups……… RED WHITE GREEN BLACK Pete
  17. Hi neepheid , Full correct model is ....... Les Paul Junior Tribute DC Bass . Bought just before last Christmas. Can't seem to find any schematic , has a pull / push on the volume pot , normal cap on the tone . Pete
  18. Does anyone know how to get in touch with Gibson Tech dept . I need a Schematic of the wiring in a Les Paul Tribute Bass . I have sent many emails to their service, tech depts , but no reply .
  19. Sorry Alex , I have just signed on to mark it as SOLD . Sorry again. Pete
  20. Hi , When you put a post up , for sale eg , and you get a message saying " Bill and Bob reacted to your post" , how do I read what the reaction is ? Pete
  21. For sale my Zoom B6 Brilliant piece of kit, just an overkill for what I am doing now. Only a few moths old, bought it when I was playing three bands - a Stones Tribute Band, a Rockabilly Band and a Dr Feelgood band. Ideal to get different bass sounds for each band, with both my basses. Only in Dr Feelgood tribute at moment, so one basic sound. Fully working, in as new condition with original box and power supply. I`ll probably regret it but here she goes. Price includes UK Mainland delivery.

  22. I`m 75 next month , failing eysight , bad back and shoulders , angina , loosing my hair , only get VERY large knickers thrown at me on stage now , but still gigging ( be it only a couple of times a month with Dr Feelgood tribute ) They will have to carry me off stage when I go . Started playing Guitar in the early 60`s , a few breaks over the years , VERY VERY understanding wife ! Pete
