1. Bump. Had one interested party who also enquired about the price were I to sell. Answer? £110 shipped in the UK. I've seen ME50s go for less than that on the bay, so anyone canny enough could bag an ME 50 for lessand then trade it with me. The only caveat is that I'dlike the ME 50 to be boxed. I can live without the AC Adapter. If myself and an interested party were to agree on a trade I would most definitely put this to one side whilst they sorted out an ME 50
2.
As a slight diversion: Anyone noticed on their BT Phone bill a £4.95 payment processing charge? I just noticed it this on this quarters bill. I really want to call them up and just confirm that this means they're charging me for taking my money off me?! Like, did they ask me for permission? What benefits do I get for my money as a consumer?
This got a lot of coverage in Guardian Money. It's a standard charge they levy for all customers who do not pay by direct debit. There was a huge stink about it as, like most of these tricks (higher unit prices for electricity on a meter, per transaction unauthorised borrowing fees, mis-selling PPI on loans) it's aimed at extracting money from the most vulnerable people.
3. Whereabouts are you?
4. First up, set of 5 Gotoh tuners taken from my 1996 MIA Deluxe Jazz. Nice and shiny, good working order and a worthy upgrade to the stock tuners on any MIM Jazz V. £20 shipped or swap for a Bass Fat Finger Second, a pair of Jazz pickups also taken from said 1996 MIA Deluxe Jazz V. These pickups pack a serious punch - the size of the pole pieces gives you some idea. I read an article with Bryan Beller where he was effusive in his praise of the sound of his MIA Deluxe Jazz which he says was mainly down to these pickups. If you have a standard Jazz V, these will give it a serious boost. £20 shipped or swap for a Bass Fat Finger Anyone interested can have both items for £35 shipped. 5. This was discussed on Radio 4's you and yours this afternoon. Ebay have changed their billing to reduce listing fees and increase the amount of final value fees. They've also reduced final value fees for buy it now items. Surprise, surprise, these changes benefit large volume purveyors of Far Eastern electronic tat but seriously harm smaller volume sellers. I guess the ebay miracle had to end at some point.
6. Hello, I have a Boss RC-20XL Loopstation in mint condition. Boxed with all accompanying paperwork and a fresh set of batteries. I would like to trade it for a Boss ME-50 (green guitar one) Anyone interested?
7. No interest, which is a shame. He's put it back in storage for the time being and will try again when the 2nd hand market improves.
8. As a bass player, chord inversions and contrary motion are two of your greatest friends.
9.
I wonder how they will pronounce 'Epifani' lol lol!!!
Better than they'd produce GAllien Krueger or Schroeder I'll wager
10. I think Tony Grey?
11. You need an escrow service https://www.escrow.com/index.asp or http://www.pppay.com/ might be better for UK transactions.
12. I stumbled across this the other day. Gig Skinz gear for knock down prices. Nicer looking and better made than the usual Stagg stuff and you can get it for the same price.
13.
Guys can you tell me in what year was made this amp ? Here is the serial number: T0105.0144 Model: VTYPE-H0 Can you tell me how the EQ works? What are the bass mid and treble freq. ?
The original V-Type preamp has a passive EQ. With the tone knobs set to 12 o'clock and deep, bright and mid shift all off, the EQ curve has a slight mid cut. Boosting or cutting the different bands affects the others.
14. It hasn't been doctored. It was taken on a compact digital camera at one of the indoor stages. I guess you could call it a fluke.
15. My friend snapped this shot of the bass player from 'The Rotted' being given a proper send off during his last ever gig with the band at Wacken Open Air. I think it's one of the best live shots I've ever seen.
16. I bought a pair of Schroeder cabs from Greg on behalf of a friend. Great seller, really nice, helpful guy and it was a pleasure to chat to and do business with him. The cabs are in fantastic condition and he even dropped them off! I've just given the two cabs a quick run through and they're great. I've spoken to my mate and he can;t wait to come and pick them up. Thank you.
17. Good seller. My mate willbe very happy with his new Little Mark II.
18. Bump with £50 price drop. £500 for what will one day be a classic.
19.
Did you notice that it has a Fender USA neck plate but what looks like the remains of a Jap serial number on the heel. Any ideas?
90s Fenders are an odd one. I have a HM series bass which has 'Made in USA' on the headstock, but everyoneI've spokento says it's a Japanese instrument. If the Fender Electro-Acoustic is too much dosh, check out a Godin G4. 20. Ta. As Merton says - compact but heavy. Tone is to die for - lovely and warm and serious bottom end. I've used this combo live when my old Hartke head was in for repair and it was great.
21. Do you have one or two of these for sale?
22. Bump. Any offers of lightweight cabs entertained on this spiffing little rig.
