1. I'm just watching it on iPlayer. I've heard a lot worse and I can't stand crap like Young Knives, Snow Patrol, etc...
2. Does anyone know who the drummer is in that last video?
3. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1GJu8rA1L9M I prefer this version
4. Hello there, Whereabouts in Athens do you live? My sister lives in Maroussi. I love the place.
5. Anyone with a Tech cab will be happy. I've been mulling over trying to sell my mini15 to get this, but I've been using it more and more recently and it sounds fan-f*cking-tastic and is tiny. If Kalim gets the 410, he/she will be very happy indeed.
6.
So did languae !
Typo. My laptop keyboard hasn't been the same since my son pulled off all the keys.
7. I waslooking at your avatar picture and was wondering if any other forum members practised bare-chested?
8. I'm chuffed that c**tish passes the languae filter. I would have been tempted to include words to the effect of 'maybe when you can actually pull a decent crowd to a gig you'll be in a position to act like rock stars, but given the sparse turnout, your band is as much in need of help as us lowly openers'.
9.
I'm running vista 32 bit . Through a delta 66 . Asio drivers are installed on the soundcard but they aren't used in the Audacity program . Maybe I'll just have to bite the bullet and pay for software lol
No, but good quality windows drivers should be low enough latency - that's what Sonar uses.
10.
Bad analogy IMHO.... The Red Arrows are still giving a solid flying demonstration, just with added tricks. All I saw on that video was clickety-clack tricks with barely an audible bass note, melody or solid line underpinning it....
Perhaps, but in the context of a tendency on this forum to dismiss examples of flashy playing because the poster would rather be laying down a solid groove, etc... I think it's quite apt. Anyway, it's a music show, I thought showing off and playing as fast as humanly possible were the whole point. Drummers have shows dedicated to the art of playing as fast and unmusically as possible. It's great fun. [ur]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e7TzWrKso4I http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XU0RUBzeH40
11. I wonder if amateur pilots visit discussion forums and slag off the Red Arrows for all that stupid aerial acrobatics and coloured smoke nonsense when they should be giving a solid demonstration of flying from A to B?
12.
Hi guys. From my understanding, asio drivers aren't supported in Audacity. So how do any of you Audicitites get over the latency issue? Cheers, Nick.
What OS are you running? There should be low latency WDM drivers for any decent audio interface.
13. £100!!! Someone knows how to use ebay!!!
14.
Tastes change I guess, the world and its wife want classic Fenders and clones thereof. Warwick still make some fantastic instruments. I love my Corvette even tough I'm a Precision man at heart.
+1 With regards to Fenders being flavour of the month. They are the one instrument that has remained a constant.
15. What about these http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Warwick-WCA112ND-WCA...id=p3286.c0.m14
16. Thank you everyone. Removing the neck was the first option I gave the propective buyer, but some people are a bit funny about this. Don't know why. If neccesary, I can always slacken off the truss rod a littleto reduce tension when there are no strings attached. The buyer is in Munster. I'd best check the Air Berlin site before they go under.
17. Could anyone help? I migt need to send a bass to Germany, but I'm finding it hard to get an exact or reaonable price. Has anyone here shipped a bass to Germany? Who did you use and how much did they charge? Thanks.
18. Depending on what you're looking for, I'd suggest visiting this site for a gig skinz rack bag. Really well made and most of what they have is half price http://www.flightcasepro.co.uk/Gig-Skinz/Gig-Skinz.php
19. If you can live with carting round a step transformer, this is a seriously lovely sounding amp for the money. There's very little, if anything, comparable to 'the SWR sound', especially with the 800Hz cut and aural enhancer and gain given a hefty boost. Do you happen to know how much cost would be involved in replacing the power supply? One of the major selling points of the Bass 350, for me at least, is the fact it'so small and light (it'll fit in a shallow rack bag, which is a nice touch). The external step down transformer negates this benefit.
20.
I'm still trying to contact him and if your Ric floats his boat then we'll see what we can do. re. the avatar pic - one more comment on BC and I will be considering contacting a 'lookeelikee' agency for work... of course I've now shaved so that'd have to grow back
It could be worse. Imagine if everyone said you looked like Peter Sutcliffe
21. I have a HM series bass with a 3 way switch and I don't have this problem, so maybe that's the solution. Plus, it's dead easy - I'm sure most people simply don't need THAT level of control and a quick switch between pickups would solve the problem.
22.
No you don't... ebay trick #42. You agree not to complete the sale and eBay just take your listing fee. You can of course relist it but using the same friend(s) to do this regularly gets one/both/all of you banned!
That's completely dishonest and reprehensible, but nevertheless fantastic simply because it's one in the eye for ebay.
23.
Or the owner didn't think it was going to sell, got 2 of his mates to bid it up and thus artificially inflate the final price. Will be intersting to see if it goes back on eBay in the next month or two. Just call me cynical...
Why on earth would you do that? It just means you have to pay ebay 10% or whatever the percentage demanded as final value fee of what you didn't actually make on the bass.
