NO!
I can't say how 'accurate' each model is, but, for example, on my POD XT Live, the SWR model has an undeniable SWR slant to the sound. However, I have noticed a lot of strange glitches when listening through headphones - there's something not quite right about the sound and I've experienced this on a number of Line 6 devices with a number of basses (active and passive) and using different headphones. I mainly use a set of BeyerDynamic DT150s - believe me, these can take some punishment. The overdriven models seems to be the biggest culprits. I think that pushing up the gain of the SVT model makes it nearly unuseable.

3.
I think the Bass Merchant in Essex do the Tech Cabs, though I think they'd pretty much sold off most of the old style cabs and were due to get in a load of the new style. HTH Rich
Actually, I spoke to Mike at the Bass Merchant recently about Tech gear (and have since bought their last Tech head off them). He said they probably weren't going to get the TecAmp range in because they build their own Neo cabs now. Plus, they do much better with GK andMarkbass gear. The Bass Centre Deutschlandhave some of the Tech range still in stock, but their prices still aren't that good. Kalim on this forum is selling a Tech 2 x 10 that he bought from Warwickhunt. For £290 shipped it's a no brainer. Unfortunately, I just splashed out £450 on the aforementioned Tech TVM600 as well as stillneeding to fork out for the repair of my Tech TVM350 that's proving quite a git to fix. Oh yeah, and my wife is expecting our second child anytime in the next 3 weeks! Otherwise, I'd have had it like a shot.

5. Another vote for Tech Soundsystems cabs. These cabs are amazing. They are around 19" wide, incredibly light and have a very focussed sound with bags of character. I drive these two cabs with either a Tech TVM600 or Tech TVM350 and get a lovely warm sound with loads of clarity There is a Tech 2 x 10 for sale at the moment for £290 inc shipping. This is a bargain for a cab of this calibre.
6. everyone's circumstances are different. Three is my limit. I have a main bass (fretted), a backup (fretted) and a an electro-acoustic for unplugged stuff /fooling around. My intention is to get a decent fretless neck made for the backup and that will be me sorted.
7. No harm in thinking big.
8. I know it's just a name, but if it had been me , I'd have expanded on the bassworld idea and registered www.bassplanet.co.uk, which is currently available.
9. I have a 3U rack with a nice new Tech TVM600 head replacing my currentlyout of action Tech TVM350 and a Korg rackmount tuner. I have a POD XT Live that I bring along when I need effects - which is only for one of the three bands/projects I'm currently involved in.
