Im utterly bitten this expensive and frustrating bug. But I've had some great sucess notably the relic p bass I made and a graphite necked early 80's fender thing. A few expensive aborted efforts too though at the mo I'm skint but torn with what direction to take a vmj 70's. Either sort of vintagey although not reliced and not esp historically accurate (at all) or to just beef it up a tad in some way. And then do I go chrome or gold hardware. Ec etc etc it never ends.

Like beerdragon i took a punt on a tbird and found although i love them to death and the bass is great i just have to face the fact that im a jazz bass guy! The bass is as new in vintage white and has hardly been played. I would venture that to get the best out of it it would need a fret dress, but its brand new. sorry about the dodgy mobile pics. Id ship in its tokai cardboard box. I know the burst one is up at less than this but i really dont want/cant afford to loose too much, but id say £250 posted :-( Its fab and i love the looks and the whole down by the knees playing thing, but i can only get to do that in the bedroom! id possibly, maybe consider a swap for a jazz or possibly P i spose, pref not burst or black though but its unlikely tbh

This happened to me recently, to make matters worse i didnt see it coming and it was from a guy ive been close mates with for 15 years who i suspect pulled the trigger on me to please a girl he likes (the singer) im still fuming and upset about it now (it was the useless wooden toys) luckily ive still got my other band Loungefly to keep me sane. The fact that it happened on my birthday on top of everything else that been going on lately, baby and a HUGE other, erm, 'issue' the whole things left me feeling really down tbh. Mine was by email too, after 15 years!!! I feel for you mate. Luckily a fellow basschatter offered some sound reassurance and wise words which helped.

Oi oi Monsignor Dave. Thanks for the kind words. In the five minutes since I saw u last before baby came I double checked. And it turns out I do use two and sometimes three fingers for popping after all lol!! I just never thought about it or checked before so I tried to watch my fingers while I play and there was allsorts going on heh heh. As soon as Kaff gives me a pass we'll hook up for a head wetting sesh and maybe come round and I'll show you some stuff :-D

In simple terms Amdek were a sub division of BOSS /Roland in the early 80's, they used similar innards to the boss pedals of the time. They are Uber rare now and sound amazing!! mine is the CHK100 in excellent condition Its a stereo chorus which sound full and fat and warm and lush and almost stereo in mono mode. Ive never heard another pedal like it, this is my 2nd one after my first one died i searched for years for another. However it has the small 3.5 type mains jazk and i use a powered pedal board now so its a luxury and i just cant afford luxuries at the mo lol So GUTTED!!! im gonna sell it and try not to spend another 4 years looking for another one £30 my one:

I bought a month or so back hoping to mod it but plans have had to change. Its the standard classic vibe jazz bass in oly white, as new never left the house! It arrived i set it up played it a few nights in the bedroom and its just sitting in the stand now! Although i did do my standard fret shine and full shielding job! Along with the bass i have a HUGE load of parts for sale some still new and boxed i bought for the project which ill list in the parts section, and i may be able to be coaxed out of my AMDEK CHK-100 stereo chorus too! I know. This fact totally blows!! I just try to go for a good sound that I can hear to inspire good playing onstage and use a preamp pedal to make sure that at least some tone shaping has gone on before the pa. Then I stop thinking lol.

Like a muppet after our last gig i packed my cabs off in the van for the next rehearsal. totally forgetting i have a gig with my ozzy band this Sat, in coalville at the moxsters of rock tribute bands thingy! DOH! By any chance any other basschatters playing who i could borrow a cab off, or anyone live in Coalville lol?? OOps!!
