6. Not sure that is the case with the TI flats. Tried to string a B string on a 34" scale and the wrap started on the wrong side of the nut had to top load it to fit.

8. Hi Looking to sell my LM 250. It has been used to demo basses no gigging so pretty good nick. Looking for £300 plus postage. Cheers Alan
9. OBBM is the man if you are looking for quality cables.
10. The guy in the flat cap is there every year and pays at light speed but does tend to play the same thing as he works his way round the room.
11. I was on the stand next to Nigel and like others had looked at his stuff on You Tube and thought that it was going to be a problem but to be honest it was not. He did a few short demos at reasonable volume and one longer one on the enfield stand that Martin was videoing. He was a really nice guy and I had several chats with him over the course of the day and he could not have been better company. Rob on the Shuker stand was a lot louder than Nigel all day.

33" scale

One with a high C the rest will have low B all five strings. I will be putting on a 130 on the B or possibly a 135. A lot will depend on your playing style I would think.

33" scale

I have three 33" scale basses in the works at the moment and one just finished.
14. Unless you are vat registered in the uk you will pay the vat in Germany. But there will be no duty or vat when it comes into the uk as it partof the eu so in the single market.
15. The bass that was used for the test was Peter's P bass.
16. My mistake I did not know he had stopped. alan
17. Always the way I have worked, slightest chance of being asked to do some thing I make my self scarce.
18.
Finally got back from seeing Richard Bona at the Barbican (he made me cry again!). Arrived back from Moffat Sunday evening and was straight down to London 1st thing Monday morning so it's been a busy few days. Had a great time Saturday and Sunday; met some great people (that's everybody!) and played some great basses. I'd like to give a big thanks to Dave and Stu for getting me there and back and keeping me entertained, and to Alan for providing the single most humiliating experience of my adult life (good deeds definitely don't go unpunished eh Alan?? I've never played solo bass in front of an audience in my entire life!!!!! ). Also a huge thanks to Peter who is not only a gent of the absolute highest order but also gave me 2 batteries to get my Sei 5 up and running after a battery meltdown. The one thing that surprised me the most was how the alloted time was nowhere near enough; I hardly got through any of the gear at all. Of the stuff I played I loved Dave's ACG and Peter's too (although Peter's action was rather too high for me to get anything sensible out of; I have a girl's action on my basses ). Cameron's W&T was stunning, although I sadly didn't get round to plugging it in. Rich's sea green P was a thing of beauty......in fact there was some lovely kit, too much too mention or try. It knows who it is!
You were more than up to the job. But I promise not to do it again I was only following orders.
19. I think 7string does lessons. He is on the forum so you should be able to PM him. Alan
20. Now that you mention it I don't think there was a Warwick there. There were very few Fenders as well I may be wrong on that one. Sure someone will put me right.
21. That rig in the last pic was a beauty,if I did not have the Dr Bass and the F500 I would be off buying that it was the stand out rig for me on the day. Kev it is a secret which is only divulged when you get the special handshake. Failing that a map would work
22. My favourite track of Kev's is Return of the Bung which I think is genius and suggest you hunt it out well worth the effort.
23. Paul was also bass bitch for about half an hour as we made him try out various amp/cab combos while we all sat and listened to the results. Very nice player indeed and a tough gig in front of the bass playing audience but he sailed through the audition.
24. Dave's impromptue performance was the high light of the bash for me simply do not get tired listening to him playing and wish I could play half the stuff he palyed today.
25. Like to say thanks to everyone for an excellent weekend I really enjoyed the whole bash. I think the numbers were spot on for the venue so I doubt I will increase them above 30 people in total. Like to thank Dave Perry and Peter over and above for their help through out the organising of the bash made life a lot easier. Met a lot of great guys and players put names to a lot of faces finally met Joe so it was all good. Best selection of basses I have ever seen in one place some really beauties and impossible to pick a favourite. A great array of rigs but for me Nice Guy Homer's Aguilar head was my favourite some excellent driven sounds from it. Cheers Alan
