1. Hi Karl hope you are well Dave wilson is doing it Olympic White with a vintage tint matching headstock, everyone speaks really highly of his work and the examples I have seen are stunning.
2. Christian i would ship need to get a quote for shipping, i am offering shipping in then uk which is around £25 inclusive but am happy to ship if you pay the extra cost to Denmark. I have sent you a PM mate
3. For me the Lakland BG'S are ther best precisions out there i have had 2 both have been superb basses, i only sold my Black one as it seemed daft having 2 identical basses, i'm currently having the Sunburst refinished in Olympic White, not particularly cost effective but that's irrelevant as it is the one bass i will never sell. Would love to be able to justify a US one one day Cheers Steve
4. I've owned a roadworn Jazz bass and would say this is a comparable instrument, never played a Nash so couldn't comment on that. What i would say is that Mark is great guy to deal with and for my money these are quality basses for the money, i'm really only getting rid of this as i need to free up some cash Cheers Steve
5. Right i only took delivery of this about 5 weeks ago having wanted a Relic'd bass for some time, being unable to afford a Nash or Bravewood i saw a thread about Limelight and read reviews and having spoken to Mark was very impressed and went ahead with the order. The bass is Olympic white over Sunburst with an aged maple neck and fingerboard and is currently strung with Lakland medium gauge flats. The bass plays well and sounds superb just l;ike a P bass should. Unfortunately a change in circumstances means i can't afford to have money tied up in 2 quality basses and as much as i love this it will never replace my Bob Glaub so i am reluctantly forced to move this on. Below is some history behind the concept and the spec of this bass, History The idea behind Limelight Custom Guitars began after being inspired by Bill Nash. He makes some of the greatest instruments today and has many famous players who want the sound, feel and look of a vintage instrument without the worry of taking their hugely valuable pre CBS Fender to gigs. Previously the only other alternative was Fender's own custom shop offerings. However, Nash's are not cheap (around £2000 to buy new in the UK) and neither are Fender Custom shop. Please step forward Limelight Custom Guitars! We aim to produce basses (and later on, guitars) that look really cool, and desirable, but also to feel just right when playing and of course to sound fantastic, too. We are not aiming to make cheap instruments which are constrained by inferior parts, but to make the best instruments we can, with the good quality parts, and a strong emphasis on sound, feel and playability. We do not compromise specifications and do not build to a price point. Our aim is offer a viable alternative to Nash and Custom Shop at less than half the comparable price. Product Description Limelight Custom Guitars - 00125 P Bass heavy relic Olympic white Specifications: Gotah tuners Aged Nitro-cellulose finished neck with Tusq nut, dots and hand rolled fingerboard edges Alder body Quality vintage bridge CTS pots and Sprague cap Vintage wired Limelight Guitars custom made Alnico Pickup Switchcraft jack I'm taking quite a hit on the bass for hopefully a quick sale and will include a generic hardcase and postage in the price. I may be prepared to take a cheaper bass that i could use as a back up plus cash in a trade, so if you are interested it's worth a try. 6. Due to the purchase of a new active system our Logic System PA is up for sale. Comprises of 2x12 inch tops with horns, 2x18inch subs with built in crossovers. i'm not sure of the model no's of the speakers but will endeavour to add if i can find out. 1x Crest amplifier 1200 watt in a gator hardcase, 1 x Behringer Europower 2500 amp All speakon cables as required. We have had the system about 6 years it was bought second hand but has been 100% reliable, never abused and has been kept serviced. Logic System gear is top quality and while used this is a great system, The downside and ultimately the reason we replaced it is it's very heavy but as a result is extremely sturdy. As a result of size and weight it is really collection only, and is situated in Wigan in the North West. Let me know if you need any more info and i'll try to help. Will try and get some more pictures up when i get chance. Cheers Steve
7. Had an accident with my lakland BG got dropped and damaged the bottom, been thinking about getting it refinished for a while as it is the one bass i will never sell and so i've decided this is as good a time as any, After seeing this Thread have spoken to Dave and sorted to have it refinished, it's currently sunburst but am having it refinished in olympic white with matching headstock and white Pearl guard. I'll post some before and after pictures once it's done Cheers Steve
8. Thanks gents as i said i know this sort of thing divides opinion and to be fair this is seriously heavily relic'd, but i like it, i've got a couple of Laklands that are pristine so this is a guilty pleasure and something different. , my main reason for listing was to give Mark a namecheck and to say he is a really great guy to deal with and for anyone interested in dealing with Mark you can do so with total confidence. Cheers Steve
9. Just taken delivery of a very heavily relic'd P Bass made for me by Mark of Classic and Cool guitars. Bass is olympic white over sunburst. i'm aware peoples opinions of relic'd basses are subjective, i happen to like them but couldn't justify paying £1500 + for a Bravewood or a Nash, so having read a couple of threads and done some research about Limelight i decided to give Mark a call. Mark was more than helpful, very informative and kept me updated throughout the process which took about 8-10 weeks. Gigged the bass first time at weekend plays really well nice, light, resonant does exactly what a P bass should, arrived really well set up after my discussions with how i liked the action i was able to play it straight out of the case. So i just thought i'd give Mark a namecheck on here and put a couple of pictures of the bass on to give anyone interested a look at his work, as i said i'm aware everyone is not a fan of this type of bass and i'm not intending to start a discussion on the merits of it. Cheers Steve

13. Fusion single bass gig bag for sale decent quality £20 posted or £15 if you want to collect I'm in Wigan, Cheers steve
14. Thanks Tim Yes my back can't cope with this unfortunately as it's one of the best sounding amps I've ever had !!! Did you manage to sort out a new bass ? The duck Dunn is great by the way !! Cheers steve
15. For sale is my Ashdown Klystron 410 500 combo, which is essentially the ABM 500 head with all the usual features compressor, fx loop, sub harmonic, balanced DI, EQ, Valve Drive, the difference with the ABM combo are the 4 neodymium speakers. Combo is in excellent condition couple of marks but nothing of any note, was kept in a flight case by its previous owner, bought off baseline 9 on here, this hasn't been gigged since I bought just been used at a few rehearsals, This amp sounds great the neo speakers give it a real edge. I'm only considering selling due to the fact it is not the easiest to transport and given that we DI everything at gigs I tend to take my small Ampeg combo for ease of use. Am open to trades for either head on its own, or plus cab, 210 or 1x15 combos preferably Ashdown ABM 500s or basses preferably precision or variations thereof but am quite open minded so try me !!! Price for cash sale is now £400 and for that I will deliver up to 100 mile radius of Wigan, trade value is £450, This is a serious amount of kit for the money and really needs to be used as opposed to sat in my house. If you need any further info feel free to give me a shout Cheers steve
