1. Ooh I didn't realise it could do that. Very neat! I must say I'm impressed you can do all that and sing
2. Not bad.. how are you doing that live though? Looper?

PC v Mac
I do have one mac, an old MacPlus which has been converted into a fish tank.
Do you have a picture of that?
4. Yeah I can see how the 2 inputs could become restrictive, thankfully our drummer has a rich friend so band recordings can be done there. I'm trying to sort out a laptop at the moment, the macbook looks lovely although I don't think I can really justify the extra cost. Looks like it will be a Lenovo I end up with. Mind you I'm using a 1.5ghz Celeron Toshiba at the moment with Live and it runs a lot better than I expected!
5. Very neat! Did you use the FW410 and upgrade to the 1814? I just bought a FW410 and am delighted with it. What is the spec of your mac by the way?
6. Computer Music has a special on recording bands with just a mic or two. I think it also has some info on micing bass and guitar.

zoom b2.1u

Contact zoom they should be able to give you a download and serial number for it.
8. You should be able to go into control pannel and then click 'M Audio Ozone' and adjust the inbuilt latency-free mixer there I think.
9. There is something about teal stingrays that is just so right
10.
Chilis - If you want jme to stay
Now I love the Chilis but I think that cover is nothing compared to the original! Funny how everyone has different tastes. The Clash - Police & Thieves and to be honest most of the Renegades album by RATM..

Profane

Ahh I think that was when it was bassworld and pre FBI... I'm sure it was him, I remember talking about the digitech whammy with him.. never mind!

Profane

Daryll used to be on these forums, haven't seen him in a while though!
13. Bassbunny - I happen to have that same double bass wielding frog in my garden..
14. The best bit is you can plug in a computer monitor and keyboard with which to control it, a lot easier than most other multitracks. We did a cd with one playing live and it did the job well.
15. EXAR Pignose - small and squishy!

Which do you use?

I normally just use an amp without fx with the band. Although these last few weeks I have been using a laptop to process my bass and I have to say that may be making a debut at the next band practice. Just gotta get a suitable midi controller.
17. I have peds old OLP and although the sound lacks a little bit it is the most comfortable bass I have ever played - it just feels right so I tend to pick it up for noodling on. For some reason it records well and can hold up to a lot of effecting if you know what I meant! Doesn't lose it's character and tracks better on synths than my jazz.. mind you that's likely to be quite a personal thing. Definitely good value though
18. I meant to give it a go and may well do in the future but at the moment I'm hooked on Live Lite that came with my M Audio 410.. Phatmonkey - wicked recordings and good songs for that matter, really well done!
19. Looks good, how is the low B? Ive just seen it in white on the website and woah, looks like a good candidate for a Status neck
20. A lot of info can be found on talkbass about these amps - they are supposed to be great
21. Personally after seeing them twice play the old hits and only 3 tracks of a new album I would welcome any gig where they didn't play the hits. I enjoyed watching the reading set because it was a bit different. The jams are what makes it for me really. Nice to see Josh playing with them too
22. Ahh ok I don't know the South well other than Dublin but welcome to basschat
23. Think that your refering to filters and arpregiators (sp?) Richard..
24. Where abouts in Ireland are you from? I lived in Saintfield outside Belfast for 5 years but we went down to our cottage in Donegal quite regularly..
