2. A copy of John Taylors' autobiography In The Pleasure Groove - Love, Death & Duran Duran. I've got Andy Taylors' Autobiography, and was curious to see how they recall the same situations...
3. Strap arrived yesterday as per - A pleasure to do business with.
4. Well, as my LGX-SA is still awaiting repair (don't ask..!) I'm 'making do' with this - She's my old LGX (2 voice) that I sold to a friend to finance the repairs to the SA... I had a Guitar Guitar voucher that needed spending so had them order me the GK-3, intending to fit it to my Variax, but Robert very kindly offered to sell the LGX back to me on incredibly reasonable terms as he knows how much I love this guitar. I haven't done much more than fit the pickup and controller (still needs tweaked), but it's sounding great so far..! The output options are pretty flexible; so far I'm running the electric signal into the GK controller, outputting stereo synth and electric separately from a GR-33 and sending the acoustic from the Godin straight to whatever is handy; PA, amp, etc.
5. I was thinking a tort plate, but we'll see what comes along. And in case anyone was wondering, he got the bass, bag, tuner and leads for £35.00..!
6. Cheers guys, rather looking forward to getting her up and running.
7. Came back from a few days away to be presented with this by my dad .He picked it up, along with a well used but serviceable gigbag and Boss TU-80 tuner (boxed), at the local car boot sale. Not sure what the additional woodwork round the pickup is, and I'm not looking forward to sourcing a scratchplate, but I'll get it over to Mark at his earliest convenience and see what he can make of it. More pics here - http://s42.photobucket.com/albums/e334/kingofthestuntmen/Tanglewood%20Stingray%20Copy/ Gigbag also held a reasonable cable and kettle lead...
8.
Pics to follow ASAP...
And here we are... I'll maybe start a new thread.
9. Interesting catalogue scan. I picked up a Tanglewood MM copy yesterday (or rather my dad did) from a car boot sale. Came with pretty good gig bag and Boss TU-80 tuner. Haven't had time to do anything with it yet, but it seems fairly solid. Missing the scratchplate, though. Pics to follow ASAP...

11. Have you considered the "poor man's PRS" as I've heard my Godin's referred to on a couple of occasions..? Guitars don't come much more versatile, and that's before you get to the SA's with synth access... I'm on my mobile right now, but I'll post a couple of pics of mine later. And here they are - '96 LGX-SA on the left, and '99 LGX 2-voice on the right LGX-SA LGX More pics here - http://s42.photobuck...Godin%20LGX-SA/
12. ... you have to be reminded that the alphabet does not go 'A, B, C, D, E, F, G, A...' or ... your reply to 'what's your favourite colour..?' is 'Seafoam Green' or '3 Tone Sunburst'
13. Dammit..! I had a quick look as I was sure that I couldn't be the first...
14. Can't think of a single pun. Not one... http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-17569427
15. Have we got a bit of a Peter Green thing going on..? Nice looking piece of kit, best of luck with the sale.
16. I'm a member, but a very infrequent visitor, and seem to recall that the activation e-mail took an unusually long time to come thru... may even have been the next day. When did you register..?
17. Right here, though I think it only fair to let you know that I'm more a guitarist with delusions of adequacy than a Bassist proper...
18. Google Cascade Electric Guitar and it'll take you here - http://www.guitarsite.com/news/electric_guitar/jc_harper_announces_cascade_electric_guitar/
19. Currently away for repair, but still my #1. She's a 1996 Godin LGX-SA (Synth Access) My most recent acquisition; a Vester Tradition Series Strat. Bone nut fitted and setup by our very own 7-String and now one of the nicest [s]strats[/s] guitars I've ever owned. Washburn HB-35 (mid 80's..?) given to me by a good friend so will remain with me for ever. Line 6 Variax 600 - Currently For Sale via a local shop, though I may get her back in the near future and reassess whether to keep or move on privately. These make up my current collection, but there have been many more over the years and I'm planning on checking out the new Roland/Fender GK-Ready GC-1 Stratocaster (catchy..!) when they become vailable later this year.
20. Sure I've told this story before... Went in for a set of strings, came out with the strings. And a job..! Guy I had gone to Uni with was working his notice and they were recruiting. Bit of a baptism of fire, though; I started a couple weeks before Christmas.
21.
Bassassin is showing his absence when japcrap like that remains at carbootsales.
Yeah, I was expecting an appearance by now. Should we be worried..?
22.
was it one of these ? http://www.cameo-auc...9/img/132-a.jpg
Yup, identical except for the thumbrest... Saw that when I was Googling earlier.
23. Cheers Pete, I'd had a quick look on Fleabay via the mobile while I was there but didn't find much and I'll do a bit more research this afternoon. Got an auction closing tonite for my Vester P copy, and it's looking promising, so I may be in a position to acquire it next week (if it doesn't sell in the meantime)
24. Just back from local car boot sale where I passed on what appears to be an all original Avon/Rose Morris EB copy. I'm not very familiar with Gibbo's, but 2 pups would make it an EB-3, yes..? Guy wanted £60 but, as I've had stuff off him before, he was open to an offer. Couple of things stopped me taking it; - gap in the neck pocket of approx 2 millimetres on the treble side & a possible minor alignment issue with bolt on neck. - I'd be buying to sell so restring, setup etc might mean taking a hit rather than making a profit. - The wife'd take a dim view as I've already got a couple 'projects' on the go. Anyway, what do y'all reckon, have i dodged a bullet or shot myself in the foot..? There's a good chance it'll still be there next week so I'll do some research in the meantime.
