2. I'm looking to get some La Bella flatwound strings for my StingRay5, does anyoen know the best (i.e. cheapest) place to get them in the UK?
3.
If you promise on boy scouts honour to buy it off me after new year, i will remove it from sale and reserve it for you. It will give me a chance to evaluate whether i really do want to get rid of it. Fair?
I was a scout, so when I say scout's honour I mean it I've pmed you too.
4. I want that small clone but won't be able to afford it til after xmas! Dammit =P
5. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/MarkBass-Mark-Bass-A...1QQcmdZViewItem Not mine, just doing you folks a service!
6.
The Stingray 5-string is more or less a 5-string Sterling, what with the coil-switching, the dummy humcancelling coil in the pickup, and the same 3-band EQ. Although I do hear that a proper Sterling 5 is on its way. Hopefully it doesn't have that huge, ugly expanse of scratchplate that the Stingray 5 has.
I had the same view about those scratchplates, til I saw this on ebay: Now she's mine =D
7. I lived in west bridgford for 7 years from the age of 1-7. I don't really remember it. Lived on Mona Road.
8. Lol, no I wanna stick with Mark Bass to be honest, it's too good to compromise =] Oh, and I'll only be swapping it cos it's my only amp and I can't risk not having one for any period of time. Needs to be as powerful, too.
9. Come as you are, Nirvana.
10.
This combo is SOLD Anyone want to flog me a Little Mark II? Cheers N
Good luck, from what I've seen people aren't too keen to get rid of the LMK II once they've got it!!
11. Mark Bass CMD 121P is tiny and as powerful as the CMD 121H... I wanna swap my 121H for the P or a 15" MB combo...
12. I want to do a direct swap with my CMD 121H with a CMD 121P OR a 15" MB combo OR a LMKII Head and 15/12" cab OR *maybe* a Gallien Krueger combo. My amp is about a year old, works perfectly fine and sounds gorgeous (hey, it's mark bass), but the 121P would fit in my boot (i only have a citroen ax, the 121H is just an inch too big) and I don't think the tweeter horn driver suits my stingray 5er so well as if it didn't have one. Here's hoping...!!! EDIT: BTW, this is my one: EDIT 2: Actually my one's the newer model to that! but Yeah, virtually the same thing. EDIT: changed thread title to attract more attention.
13. Means I can't afford it!!
14. Whatever really, their original name was just death from above anyway so I don't know for sure...
15.
Amy also uses a Waterstone Tom Petersson 12-string bass...I've one of those babies. Monster tone. P
Sounds like muddy sh*te on the youtube videos I watched of her demonstrating it. I much prefer the Rick tone. Proof that it works in a duo is in the band Death From Above 1969. Good stuff that.
16. Nice! I could do with that...
17. Clearly Slade!! (my mum's boyfriend is their current line-up's (dave hill et al) tech guy... this will probably be a busy time of year I would imagine!!)
18.
gimmi a minute and i'll have quite a few for ya
your minute's up!
19. Ten minutes left! Get your bids in, people =]
20.
I use Warwick Dark Lord 175 gauge strings on my 7er. Probably your best bet for a UK supply.. though you can also get heavy gauge strings from the likes of SIT and Conklin amongst others. Outlets for Warwick, you are looking at The Bass Centre and err Strings Direct I think.
Or go to my link for what's probably the best price.
21. Et voila!
22. He seems a little desperate to show off. The solo is actually rather sloppy, especially considering he even has a beat to play to.
23. Clicky For something a bit different! recordings can be found on a link in the item description.
24.
Well, they could see that if they looked on abay really.... The etiquette here as far as I have seen, is that you offer it for sale, if it doesn't sell, then put it on the bay. Most people, even then, will take an offer at the asking price from a BCer and end the auction. If it's an ebay only thing, it's best put in the ebay forum below this one. It's a bit annoying to look down the 'For Sale' list, see an item you'd really like, only to find it's not for sale here but on ebay, and then the seller keeps bumping it... Perhaps I'm just in a bad mood! Chris
Right, it's just that nothing seems to be selling on here and I need the cash sharpish.
25.
What's the point? You think they'd just do a backing track.
Well i spose they must wanna make it seem live... but not even having your amp turned on is a wee bit of a giveaway
