1. Hmmm. A Zon fiver is easily replaced. Sixers are rare birds indeed. Don't go giving me second thoughts N
Don't do it! The inevitability of some sort of Zon relationship was sealed when I discovered that an old friend of mine lives only a mile away from Zon HQ in Redwood City, CA. I rather badly want a fretless twin to keep it company now B
2. Arrrggghh...the pain! This is not an easy sale... N
So it is! Just so it doesn't feel lonely, here's a pic of mine (a Sonus Custom 6) Great price - had it been a fretless I'd be gnawing someone's arms off at this point... B
3. Bump for edit - this monster is for sale...sniff
4. Hi I'm working up to sorting myself out with a small epifani cab (either a UL110 or 2x10). Any Epifani-heads have any suggestions where the best place is to buy this brand with the least mark-up? I will consider ordering from Europe. Incidentally I might pair it with a Little Mark head, although the best prices on that seem to be in the UK. Cheers Nick
5. This combo is SOLD Anyone want to flog me a Little Mark II? Cheers N
6. Withdrawn from sale. It's a keeper after all.
7. Eden CXC 400 combo for sale. 4 X 10 inch speakers. 400 Watts into 4 Ohms. Used mainly at home in smoke free environment. Nice and clean. Very powerful, hifi Eden tone. Parametric eq. Bypassable compressor. Eden enhance knob. Great amp. Has rugged coasters etc. Selling only because I've started playing out with my double bass and need a setup that works for acoustic bass. Trade - would go for a Little Mark II Due to weight buyer collects. Can audition it in South London. £400 Nick
8. Glad to know Gwilym's got my old Zon. Great to deal with and anyone cool enough to wear a yellow Steely Dan t-shirt in October gets my vote...Nick
9. I've started playing upright and haven't been playing my beloved Zon fretless much of late. Plus a need for a fretted 4 string forces this sale. It's a 2001 vintage Zon Sonus Special Fretless Five string - 34 inch scale (i.e. it's a very playable fiver) - Zon graphite neck - wood composite fingerboard - bart j bass pups - Zon preamp - Ash body - Bubinga top - Redwood fretmarkers I honestly believe these to be the best fretless basses in the world (I felt like I had tried them all before I bought it) and they truly sing and mwah like it's going out of fashion. Action is low. The bart J pups are set slightly further back towards the bridge to bring out the lo mids. It works. Specs at - http://www.zonguitars.com/zonguitars/sonusspecial5.html Very wide range of tones from Jaco honk to broad, almost fibrous upright tones. They are very light and well balanced - no diving. This one has one small ding that does not penetrate the finish on the back edge next to the strap button (i.e. not on the front). Used in a smoke free studio. Drop me a line if you want more pics or info. I'm in London and would prefer not to post. £1100 firm. Cheers, Nick Pics!
