  1. Big update to QC - mostly in the free devices department. Lots of bass stuff in the update which is nice to see, inlcluding: New SVT Captures New Markbass Captures Aguilar Octamizer Mono Synth More bass cab IRs Big change in the way the captures work too (V2). A bit like the Helix Stadium, these are done in the cloud on a bigger machine and apparently appear to allow the capture of things like compressors(?!). Included in the capture list are the Cali76 (32 captures) and the DarkGlass Super Symmetry (7 captures) https://neuraldsp.com/quad-cortex-updates/coros-3-3-0-and-cortex-control-1-4-0-are-now-available
  2. I've got a VTDI I can loan if you fancy doing a comparison. I think of the Sansamp as a "close enough" pedal. I'm using it to get the character of an SVT or B15, rather than trying to emulate an exact amp. I've found that just because something sounds more like the amp it's replicating doesn't necessarily make it better
  3. The VT Bass has the 'character' knob that changes it from B15 to SVT to a mega aggressive drive (according to Tech21)
  4. I enjoy them basically calling you out! 😁
  5. Great pedals, I love mine, still sits in front of my Quad Cortex because the compression is so good
  6. Speaking of those 4 new blocks:
  7. One of the most underrated Spectors around, I love mine
  8. So that's really cool. I've had my reservations on the Anagram but this really gives me pause for thought. Not necessarily something I would use, but as @tayste_2000 said: that's a quick introduction. Not only that, but you can change the distortion engine, something the Parallax misses. Really cool
  9. Sounding tight, really nice
  10. It's definitely a good looking bass, hope it plays and sounds just as good!
  11. Sent you a private message
  12. I currently have lessons with Ian over the internet and they are great. Really good at diagnosing where you need to improve, and gives so much stuff to get on with between lessons, 1 a month is almost too much!
  13. Surprisingly, it has! Pretty much identical interface
  14. Finally, Parallax is available on the QC, and it works very nicely
  15. The Japanese Metros are some of the best basses in the world, regardless of money; glwts
  16. Also, please ignore everything ChatGPT says about chord progressions. It's pretty awful at that sort of thing, and regularly just makes stuff up. For instance, here's its take on Red Baron (which just goes G7, C7, and a unision line):
  17. So minor correction, I think it's: Intro: | C |Bb/C |F |Ab Bb| Verse: | C |Bb/C |F |Ab Bb| Prechorus: |F |Ab Bb | Chorus: | C |Bb/C |F |Ab Bb|
  18. If I get time tonight, I'll see if I can't transcribe it for you when I get home
  19. DG have responded on TB that the engineer is perhaps mistaken as they are still investigating the issue: We’re still investigating the issue. The message Chris shared was a response from one of our engineers, forwarded in good faith. Yet this is not a final verdict. Anagram is thought to be a community-driven platform, which means we listen rather than set and forget.
  20. Just reading through the other forum, and saw something interesting around the Hyper Luminal compressor, and that is: it doesn't compress. No matter than input level, threshold, or ratio, there is no gain reduction. Seems like a bug, but a very weird one!
  21. Like everyone else, not last night but Monday; first jam night since my first child was born (and probably further than that) at the Woking Monday Night Jam. Had a great time, ran into @TrevorR and got to experience his excellent playing (and the generally very high quality of players there). Note for future me: when the crazy fusion guitarist running the jam asks you "do you know Spain?" the correct answer is not "uhh, yeah I think?", because that's how, 4 songs later, you find yourself frantically trying to fumble your way through it! Still, would probably do it again VID-20250529-WA0000.mp4
  22. Apparently Bluetooth is "coming soon", it was supposed to launch with it but a last minute bug was found
  23. It's surprising because every other implementation of an "SVT in a box" model models the breakup e.g. SansAmp VTBass, Origin Effects Super Vintage, Ampeg SGT-DI, QC Ampeg Model, Helix Ampeg Model etc. That's one of the key advantages of a model over the real thing, I can get the very aurally pleasing breakup without needing the monumental volume. But even the SVT Classic has a gain control that creates the SVT drive sound (albeit, quite loudly): I genuinely don't understand what's so surprising about our bewilderment that the amp models don't have a gain control, or apparently model breakup in any way?
