  1. Looking forward to hearing this. "To the Rescue" is one of my favourite songs/records of recent years.
  2. What are the names of the band's? I'll look out for them.
  3. Thanks Steve, that's really kind. They'll be touring to support the album in October/November.
  4. Resurrecting this to say my daughter and son's band, Tulpa, release their first album shortly. Preorder available, and a video of their first single below. https://www.roughtrade.com/product/tulpa/monster-of-the-week https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=JexAQGyZMYM&pp=ygURTGV0cyBtYWtlIGEgdHVscGE%3D
  5. Lee bought a power supply from me. Prompt payment, excellent comms. Thanks.
  6. A boxed Cioks 4 power supply, box with all cables. As new, except there is velcro underneath - I'm happy to remove that if needed. Price includes postage within the UK. This is powered by UBS power bank (which you'd need to buy separately), and is super convenient and tidy - no need for access to a DC power supply for your pedalboard. I'm only selling cause I've moved my pedals into a rack and have bought a Cioks Sol to replace it.
  7. I've been amp less/ in ears with the current band for the last 18 months. Rig is a Shure wireless, compressor, and EBS Micro bass 2. I realised recently I never actually change anything during a gig so have very recently rehoused the pedals along with my in ear transmitter and personal mixer into a new rack that sits on top of the band's main rack. All the bits and pieces go into a 1 unit drawer. It saves me having to run 4 cables across the stage, and setup/breakdown is now a doddle. I'm seriously thinking of getting a wireless mic so I can have no cables - even though I only sing bvs in a few songs.
  8. Fantastic amps, the best I've ever used .
  9. Bought a flight case from Mike, it arrived super quick and very nicely packed. Thanks.
  10. Getdown Services just stole the show!!
  11. The NY set has got better and better as it's gone on. What a band. Willie Nelson's son on guitar.
  12. Are you testing it using the XLR, or with an amp, or with headphones directly plugged in? I've found it behaves very strangely with different headphones. I've ended up using it as a one channel preamp/DI as well - i haven't had the same problem as you, but I struggle to get a good balance between the channels.
  13. 1. Yes, Cat 5 from the desk (we use a PD-16) as there's two of us using P16s. And then connect your P16 puts to your IEM transmitter. 2) all channels are live unless you mite them. Switching the channel on makes that the live one you are adjusting, unless you solo you'll hear the whole mix.
  14. Pm'd. As a Kiwi in Leeds (who once made a record with Paul Crowther) it would be rude not to.
  15. Yes, correct. The other advantage of the P16 is it's stereo, and doesn't use any of the Auxes. But all 6 of you could use the Auxes, apps, and wired or wireless in mono without any additional expense (assuming you have the devices you need).
  16. The P16 allows each band member to manage their own IEM mixes, rather than relying on whoever looked after the mixer. You can do it via an app/devices, but it's easier using the physical knobs on the P16. In our band (using an X18) two of us use P16s and the other three rely on the mix from the Aux outs.
  17. For Once In My Life. I had to learn it for a wedding once. Totally random, and then it changes key and the randomness continues. And Rhythm Stick, it's the plucking hand that defeats me.
  18. I hope I've understood the question...we have 16 channels (vox x 4, bass, guitar, stereo keys, and the rest is drums. Our mics/instruments go into the 2 x Art S8 splitters, and I have a 16 channel loom that goes into the house PA. We only play 2 venues where we do this, the rest of the time I don't bring the loom and we just use our PA (X18, tucked into the rack) for FOH. Whilst I built it, and it works for us, I don't understand much of what goes on FoH.
  19. This is what I've done for our band. Most of our gigs are using our own PA, but I've included a splitter in the rack so we just use our own IEM mix and there's tails for FOH.
  20. Choosing one for tonight's first gig of the year.
  21. My very simple board. Powered via a Cioks 4 and an Anker power bank (although the EBS is powered using phantom power when we gig).
  22. My son's former band, Mush, in London a while ago. He's the guitarist in the baseball cap.
