I was in exactly the same situation and tried all three and i suggest you do the same. Personally I found the Ampeg the best because of the EQ options. =)

Kontact really is brilliant. It will open up so many more possibilities for backing tracks too. The slower tempo does give a great feel though so doesnt really matter. The way to go with all PC equipment is too find a nice student and buy it in there name =L I got Kontakt for around £180 I think Dan

I've finally got round to leaving my beloved Trace Combo behind and decided to get something a lil bit more powerful. Long story short I got a good deal on an Ampeg B2-RE head and im now running it through a crappy old Peavy speaker which needs to be updated but I dont have a clue about ohms! The B2RE is 250 at 8 and 450 at 4 so do i just get a cab that is 8ohms at 250 or could i get one thats 300 at 8 like most are and not have trouble? Sorry I realise this has probably been asked thousands of times Thanks Dan =)

Massive difference between which area your playing too. Around Norwich were gettin £250 ish. Ipswich down too £200.

Quick note: Grades 4, 6 and 7 are as difficult/harder in some cases than the higher grades! Skip and save your self time and cash =L Some of the grade 7 pieces are harder than the 8s!

I've seen muse twice and both times performances have been absolutely spotless. IMO one of the best live bands still gigging today =)
