  1. Because this particular leader has a revenge list and is happy to use it instead of being an actual statesman.
  2. I've got a Roland Cube that I've had for probably close to 20 years and it's been rock solid and still sounds great. The 30W one (that I have) is great for home and gigs with acoustic instruments, but underpowered for anything bigger. IIRC there was a 120W combo that was very loud but also really heavy. Other than that and the TC I can't think of any bass amp that had reverb.
  3. What are you recording into? Smart phones or webcam into OBS? Something else?
  4. Mesa dumped Westside Distribution and then put the prices up anyway.
  5. New video of it Currently £589 at GuitarGuitar....
  6. Keep it. I think the Specials (P and J) are some of the best basses Fender ever made. Slimmer comfy necks, slightly thinner and lower weight body. All suitable for tuner / pickup upgrades if you want. If you want another bass as well - set up a small monthly payment into a savings account and forget it's there. It will add up quickly enough. You can always do non-reversible modifications in the meantime - if you like the Frank Bello sound - swap the pickups for EMGs. The X Series J pickups have loads of headroom and bite.
  7. I've never heard of a 3 people limit either. My favourite set up is a trio, or 3 and a singer, mainly because it usually leaves more space for me to badly rip off Jack Bruce.
  8. Forscore for me too.
  9. Sandberg Superlight Lionel Short scale… mine is 5.7lb!
  10. That's very nice indeed.
  11. I used to have one. I might be able to answer a question.
  12. I just had a look at the specs. No ratio control? That would seem to limit the squish available as an actual effect. I can't see the ratio setting mentioned anywhere on the website. Presumably it's a secret then...
  13. Are the Res-O-Lite available with 1/2 inch post? I can't seem to find them on the Gotoh website.
  14. Have you got more photos / specs? That looks gorgeous!
  15. Aye. I want one, and I'm happy to look at used ones, even when the price sensibly takes into account the actual landed price, but those eijits listing theirs for £800+ can do one.
  16. I've just seen a comment on a youtube vid that apparently Joe has said there will be a run of these every year now. I can't find the original, but I'm hoping it's true.
  17. I love the Group flats. They feel so nice under my fingers.
  18. Preorder at Andertons is £69.00 Ooooooooooo!!!!!!
  19. I once had a relationship with a blonde gymnast. Does that count?
  20. As it says really! Something that is: 1: As cheap as is practical, and 2: Worth having, and 3: Will tolerate pubs and back of estate cars. I know nothing about DBs and I can't imagine that a bow will be needed, but after chatting with some mates about the possibility of all all acoustic bluegrass band I am now researching. I have played upright a bit - I had an early NS Wav bass - but I will have to put the practice in to get somewhere near competent again. ta
  21. You'll have to get different coloured foam for the bridge now. That clashes!
  22. Have they got a UK dealer?
  23. I like that. I do like a sort of dirty compressor sound. My participation in the abstinence thread is looking dodgy!
  24. I started playing both in the same week when I was a teenager. I was playing in a metal band on guitar and a school jazz band on bass. The one I'm playing most at any particular time is the one I'm better on at that time.
