Hi guys, well well, I have tried a P bass another time, and have yet failed another time. I guess I will never learn. I just got this from Barrie, did 2 gigs with it but I just sound wrong on it. What's to say about Nordstrand ?? well.. Beautifully made, very light at 3,8 kilo, 19 mm spacing.. how does it sound?? well like a P bass with a bit more "hype" I will say. Included in the sale : Fender flat wounds I will not consider ANY trades, this is for cash only sale. Although I do know this is post xmas time, so I am happy to listen to offers. I will ship ANYWHERE in the world, if the buyer wants I am happy to order a new case from thomann although I do believe shipping in the protec should be good. I am sure you all understand, I am not responsible for anything that may happen during shipping. Guys lol, it seems this thread is getting out of "control". In the end who cares. Where has the basschat love gone?? ... maybe first time i bump into "stfu" on a thread... I strongly believe that sadly the image is hugely important, and also even if personnally I don't like every thing that Janek does. He surely understood modern days and I wish I could make the same kinda money lol. I challenge any one to show up for pop gig with a 9 string bass...

Well, i gig almost exclusively with A brubaker 6 string lol... I must admit that in most case it just goes great and I rarely get any bad comments. I think bands sometimes have a really strict view of what/how they should look. Recently I got told "if you want that job, Precision bass sunburst would be the one. Altough I know my brubaker kicks ass to most other basses around, but I do not wanna be seen as the egotistical one who turns down jobs cuz it's not the "right bass". So in the end I got a P5 lol. Works great. In the end any bassist needs about 6 basses to cover anything really. One or two "classic looking" thing. And maybe then modern basses. Cause you never know what you will bump into, and I don't know many people who can afford to turn down work anyways... lol ... Anyway, I still hate fenders... lol.. They are so many alternative these days to those classic design, to me and my taste, they don't make any sense anymore....

Right those are my pairs of brubaker basses, both are KXB models. The 4 string is from the "extreme serie" , I can assure you guys that it qualifys really well for this word. The whole instrument is topped with spalted maple, fingerboard too. It is maybe the most stunning spalted maple I have ever seen. The whole specs : bartolinis pre amp and pick ups. Mahogany body and neck with ebony fingerboard. The six string is "basic" . Whole maple bass with walnut neck. Both bass have similar pick ups and pre amp, altough are sounding very different. The attention to detail on those is close to none... amazing... Cheers

Well at that time fender japan had the rep' of making better instrument than fender USA... and they are quite sought after from what I gathered.... I have seen some JV series go for a load of money. So that price seems ok to me. Although I am not a fender man at all... so i could be wrong...
