1. As others have advised, I used TransferWise to send the money who only charged me £2.54 for the transaction, I first checked with Nationwide to see how much they charge, and they said that there will be a charge of £20 for the deposit, and another £20 for the balance, £40 just to send some money, absolute rip off!!! It took just a few minutes to sign up and send the money with TransferWise.
2. I'm joining the club too, I've just ordered a Medium Scale Jake with Maruszczyk P&HB, 38mm nut, 3 Tone sunburst with matching headstock, block inlays and white binding. The next three or four months of waiting is going to be absolute agony!
3. A few years ago, I answered an advert for a bass player at around 4pm on a Sunday afternoon, the advert stated that they were almost gig ready and hoped to be gigging in about a month or two. The guy I spoke to said they had a rehearsal booked the next day (Monday), so I said I am free to go along for an audition, he said "great", and sent me their set list, and told me it was to me to pick ANY five or six songs to play at the audition. There were seventeen songs on the list, admittedly, I already knew about six of them, but I decided that I would try and learn all of them in the hope of indicating to them that I am capable of learning songs as and when required. Anyway, I turned up on the Monday evening after a 90 minute journey to get there, and put the list of songs that I had printed out on the floor to remind me what we would be playing, the vocalist took a look at it and asked, "why have you got all those songs on your list", so I pointed at the guitarist and said that he sent them over to me because they are the songs you are currently working on, and she replied, “I only know about three of them”, the drummer then took a look and said, “me too!”, so I said, “well lets just do the songs you DO know and see how it goes”, and it turned out that I actually knew the the songs they did know, better than they did! Now I’m not the greatest bassist around, but I do my homework and learn the songs when asked, and I think I do a decent job, but I just said to them that I don’t think that this is going to work for me, and wished them luck with their project, but as I started to walk out, they had the cheek to ask me to pay MY share for the room. Yes you guessed it, I just carried on walking without looking back!!!
4.
And four corners!!! Of course a professional bingo player would use a dabber!!
I must confess, I've never played bingo in my life. so what's a dabber?
5. I have ten basses worth in total about 10 grand, I have one luxury strap which I use all the time, it's fitted with a Schaller strap-lock, and every single bass has a Schaller strap-lock peg fitted, you can buy the pegs separately for about a fiver a pair. Why scrimp on something that will protect your bass which not only costs a lot of money, but might be irreplaceable to you, no matter how much, or how little it costs. It's a no brainer for me.
6.
You got a line - well done!
Two lines in fact, one across and one down.
7. Thought I would get the old bingo marker pen out and show you the 16 songs that I've played in various bands.
8. I've played 16 over the last couple of years with a few different bands. I'm not saying I didn't enjoy playing them at the time, and they are obviously all good songs because so many people love hearing them being played by lots of bands week in, week out, but I'm now getting a real buzz out of playing old school R&B/pub rock stuff by bands such as Dr Feelgood, Nine Below Zero, The Inmates etc.. which the punters really seem to enjoy judging by how many are up on the floor dancing. I certainly won't knock the songs on the bingo card, but for me, it's nice to play something different now, although we are still doing covers of the covers that these bands did of great songs from a previous era.
9.
So tell me, how do you feel about precisions - are you a fan or not?
I've sold at least six or seven recently, so maybe not. Just kidding!!! Edit, Seriously though, I really have sold quite a few over the past couple of years, and these are what I have decided to keep.

13.
They're all here at Short Scale Bass HQ safe and sound...
Great! I can't wait to get my hands on my one.
14. Did the basses arrive on Wednesday?
15.
Understood - and I'd feel the same under the circumstances. No criticism of your post intended on my part, just wasn't sure how much you knew about Scott. Hope you won't have to wait much longer.
I'm cool! Seriously though, I just can't wait to try it out!
16.
Nice to see Stephen Chown's contribution to this topic. He's based just up the road from me in Bristol and I went to meet him and try one of his basses just before the SWB-1 came out. The Chowny is equally good quality and value and reminds me of the Epiphone Rivoli that I've always hankered (OK, lusted!!) after. When I saw Scott's bass, I decided to stay with the solid-bodied construction that I have always played, but both Stephen and Scott are top guys and I'm totally supportive of what they are doing. Just picking up on thebrig's post, one of the ways they keep their prices reasonable is by buying against customer orders and not holding stock. Trouble is that any delay on the part of the Chinese factory inevitably gets passed on to the customer. All I can say is that Scott kept me up to speed with my order from start to finish and I know he'll be upset that someone feels they've been let down.
He probably will be upset as he does come across as a nice guy in his videos etc.. which I like a lot, and I never really intended to make my disappointment at not receiving the bass yet public, but having read this thread, I thought I would air my frustration as I really wanted to try out the bass today at the gig which I've just got home from.
17.
I hope Scott doesn't mind me butting in here, but his new stock is arriving in the UK on Wednesday (It's shipping together with mine). I'm sure you'll have it fairly shortly after that.
Just wondering, could Scott's basses which should have been released on 31st March, been delayed by waiting for yours to be shipped together to save shipping costs?
18.
I hope Scott doesn't mind me butting in here, but his new stock is arriving in the UK on Wednesday (It's shipping together with mine). I'm sure you'll have it fairly shortly after that.
That might be so, but it took quite a while before I got a reply to my first enquiry email sent on 1st April, and I've had nothing but false promises since, like I stated previously, I was promised the bass would arrive in plenty of time for today's gig, and if the situation has changed yet again, why no courtesy email to let me know? after all, I ordered and paid for it way back on 16th February. I'm sure Scott is a nice guy, but I'm not too impressed with the service so far.
19. I just wish that I will eventually receive mine! I ordered it on 16th February 2016, they were supposed to be released from the factory on the 31st March 2016 but there was a delay, I contacted the company and was told they will now be released on the 10th of April 2016, on the 14th April 2016 I emailed again to say that I was hoping to use the bass for the gig I have today (1st May) due to my ongoing back & neck problems, I emailed again on the 19th April 2016 and was told that they are due in at the end of that week, I was told it would go to the top of the list for setup and shipping out to ensure I have it in plenty of time, but still no bass! I've not heard from the company since 19th April 2016.
20.

ELECTRICKERY!!!
21. I joined BT in September, biggest mistake I've made in a long time, the speed and the service is total rubbish!
22. Looks as good, if not better than the Warwick top-of-the-range Rockbags, and I've had a couple of them in the past when I was playing Warwicks, I might be ordering one of these soon, although the shipping cost will push the overall cost up.
23. What is the nut width on this one? Cheers
24. Beautiful bass Wonky and I'm very tempted, but you do state that it has white fingerboard binding, it's probably me, but I can't see the binding in the pics.
