  1. I thought it was a blue movie ☺️
  2. I have to agree. I love the early Blondie, but she should consider knocking it on the head. This reminds me of Diana Ross at Glasto who suffered similar struggles with the vocals. I think a lot of people defended that performance on the grounds that her IEM were not working correctly.
  3. Nice to see Glen at the IOW playing with Blondie. I didnt know he had joined them. I'm still a bit gypsy's kissed at the way they sacked Nigel Harrison but hey ho. 😟 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kh7m07L26j4
  4. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07TGXK72D/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1
  5. Got them on a facebook market place group. Amazon are offering 29% off at the moment so if they are any good I might buy another pack.
  6. Has anyone tried these? I managed to pick up a pack for virtually half price, so I thought I would give em a go. I am mainly playing Dad Rock on a Precision.
  7. Funnily enough, I recently bought one of these. I havent used it yet, so cant really comment on whether its any good. I do however, have a quick change from fingers to pick during the intro to Lizzy's Cowboy Song which I keep the pick between my teeth. Yes I know! 🤣
  8. I never actually realised how high I had it actually. It seems to rest naturally on my large lower chest though. 😁
  9. I nearly wet myself laughing! 🤣 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vms_6_TSQuc Warning bad language
  10. I do some BV's but I only have a limited range as I found out recently with the several key changes of 'My Generation' when I got to the Bb and was croaking away like a frog! 😁
  11. Nice looking amp. He says its primarily a pick playing rock bassists amp, but it is quite flexible for different genres (Or words to that effect) But at only 50w thats gonna struggle down the Dog And Duck with my dad rock band. 🙂 A bit pricey too!. BTW why has Irish accent turned American?? ☺️
  12. Are you referring to the quarter inch jack on a short wire? Is that the speaker input jack? I noticed that, hence my question. 👍
  13. Would it be possible to use the speaker on its own? Maybe use it as an extension cab? I believe a Fender Rumble 200 is 100w at 8 ohms.
  14. Dan bought my Markbass cab this morning. Jolly nice bloke, and a highly recommended Basschatter. 😁
  15. Pump it Up by Elvis Costello used to be my sound check party piece.
  16. Yes. They are. However, I need it gone because I,m short on space and no longer need it.
  17. Hardly used. Ex condition Comes with cover which I bought separately FOC. Generic picture from the web, but you get the idea. Buyer collects I,m afraid. But what a bargain. 😁
  18. Yes. I had the combo for 7 years and it has never let me down until now.
  19. While at rehearsal last night, my trusty old CMD 121 started smoking quite badly. It was coming from the vent at the rear of the unit. I turned it off and unplugged it and had to use an old Peavy that the studio owned. This morning I rang the amp repair guy that the guitarist uses. He told me that he cant touch it because Mark Bass don't release their schematics to outside repairers, and can only be fixed my a Mark bass professional. Is that true?? 🤨
  20. Those Warwick Red Labels used to be top quality a few years back. I bought a pack recently and they were as rough as a badgers ar$e and turned my fingers green. 😶
  21. Curious to find the age of my P Bass, I typed the serial number in. I thought it was circa 2008, but this site not only tells me the exact model and colour, but it was built in May 2010. Nice bit of (probably) useful information. 😁 https://serialnumberlookup.fender.com/lookup/
  22. There was an old song by The Bodysnatchers I think, called The Boiler. It dealt with date rape and was quite harrowing. I think was banned by a lot of radio stations in the early 80's and I haven't heard it since.
