  1. From this era the serial number would be on the neck plate
  2. What to me or someone else? Let me know if the sale falls through thanks
  3. I bought this in error it's slightly smaller than the vintage type and suitable for basses from 2008 onwards. The shop has kindly agreed a return and swap for the correct item so withdrawn
  4. I looked at this but there didn't seem to be a serial number present and the strings looked strange in relation to the neck - bridge out of alignment perhaps? You probably didn't miss much especially at that price - maybe a bitsa.
  5. I'll have these can you pm your PayPal please? Thanks
  6. I contacted him and asked him if he'd put the comma in the wrong place - he said he knew he wouldn't get anywhere near 10k I just told him he'd put everyone off. A ploy that is just daft 🤔
  7. Perhaps he spilt his blackcurrant fruit pastilles ?
  8. I've bought a couple of things off the seller including an Ovation Magnum and he's really into collecting unusual basses. Nice to see one of these in good condition the back of the neck area reminds me of John Birch basses. If I hadn't just bought an old Yamaha bass I'd be making an offer!
  9. That's going back a bit! I keep buying Jazz basses and trying to get on with the necks but the only one I ever bonded with was my old JV
  10. Bump I will include UK postage in the price
  11. We did a trade deal on two Jazz basses and everything went very smoothly with excellent communication throughout. Deal with confidence. Thanks Paul
  12. All PMs replied to still for sale no trades thanks.
  13. Now Sold This is the first version of the US built Highway one bass with knurled bridge, spaghetti logo and truss rod adjustment at the headstock end. It's a lovely bass nice and light at under 9lbs and well balanced and it plays easily and sounds...well... like a Fender Jazz bass! There are some dings to the nitro finish on the edges nothing nasty and a few at the back. The neck has some lacquer hairline faults to the finish but this isn't structural and as its the upper side is barely noticeable. A real US Jazz for the price of a MIM. I have a cheap functional case for it. Postage in the UK only and this will be at buyers cost pickup preferred. Sorry no trades. Cheers.
  14. Very nice could you tell me the weight please? Is it a non truss rod model? Thanks
  15. Could you pm me with any trade options please?
  16. A jazz type bump
  17. This is a 1977 Fender Jazz bass with the three bolt micro-tilt neck and bullet trussrod. It is a superb bass and is all original. There are no issues with the neck, frets or electrics. The bass has a matching serial sticker under the scratchplate and all the usual identifying stamps on the neck. Pots, pickups and electrics are original. It also comes with the original ashtray covers! The bass has some wear to the finish as it has been a gigged workhorse. It comes with a modern case. It's currently strung with Fender flats. I traded this recently but again I have fallen foul of the neck being too narrow at the nut for my tastes - I prefer the P bass neck. The bass weighs 9lbs 3oz and has a nice balance. I am ideally looking for a straight cash sale but may entertain trades for a similar era and weight fretted US Precision or Telecaster bass. I'd prefer a more local sale but can courier in the UK only if necessary. Cheers!
  18. Keep it you'll regret it since you spent a lot of time, money and TLC on it. I sold my Shergold Marathon 6 and totally regretted it it has taken me years and loads of ££££ to get another.
  19. This pickup functions perfectly but the covers are worn cosmetically. Great punchy sound. Sells for around £65 street yours for £30 plus post.
  20. Well Karl if it all falls through my unmentionable and a little cash sweetener still stands!
  21. I got it off eBay a while ago - it needed a bit of work to get it going again but it's a lovely bass. I was going to put a different bridge on it but it's actually a non standard base plate so I just got some saddles that fitted rather than drill loads of extra holes in it. I've used it for a one off gig and it is very nice to play but I don't play enough fretless electric to justify keeping it.
  22. High quality Hohner fretless bass with what looks like an ebony board. Licensed by Schaller machine heads and excellent build, sounds, action and vintage looks. As good as any 'name brand' at a decent price. There are some small chips and blemishes with a couple of dings on the headstock. The saddles have been changed. Weighs around 9.5lbs. The only trade I'd consider is for a Markbass Blackline amp head. Cash price is negotiable of course. Great fretless for someone who doesn't have a massive budget or plays occasionally. I'm looking for £135 cash for a quick sale.
  23. It was mine and it needed work when I bought it as the necks and bridges had been swapped around - the 8 string saddles had been reversed too. The 4 string bass side was lovely. It was very heavy and cumbersome - I bought it because I'm a bit of a Shergold fan and had to own one of these albeit briefly as this was pure GAS! I sold it to this guy last year and he's taking a bit of a hit on it - so it's a bargain if you need an excuse to employ a chiropractitioner!
