  1. Fantastic, friendly buyer. Mart bought my Trace Twin Valve head off me - great guy to deal with. Many thanks!
  2. Yes probably I’ve had four of them over the years. Always searching for the right bass and then I go back to my old Precisions and the Grabber!
  3. I owned this bass for a while Years ago it is an excellent example of Doug’s work. A steal at the price. GLWTS
  4. The warranty has around 3 months to run. I’m not sure if it’s transferable but it’s near new and not been pushed. If you arranged and paid for insured courier pickup that would be okay - I can pack it up in the original box.
  5. Ooh very nice too - what’s its weight please? Sorry had to ask!!
  6. Any hum on it Geoff?
  7. The original bridge is back on so it’s all back to stock.

    Feedback for blyn

Brian bought a ‘77 Precision Bass off me - couldn’t have gone smoother. A great guy to deal with. Thanks Brian!
  9. Poor thing
  10. I’m not surprised. As I said they are collector’s pieces and those who may not play but want them for nostalgic reasons will pay for them. I wouldn’t mind one myself but not at that price. Think I’ll stick to my quirky Shergold basses!
  11. Sorry I won’t ship abroad too heavy and too risky.
  12. Ha ha I don’t disagree on the playability front as I’ve played one!
  13. They may look odd but they are a little bit of UK rock and roll history and as a result collectible. They were also quite respected in their day as they were good sounding instruments. Jet Harris had one as did Mont Campbell of Egg. There were also connections with Burns - Burns Weill. I like their quirky looks no wonder they were known as the Martian Cricket Bat!
  14. Lovely they definitely have a look of the Shergold Marathon about them!
  15. It’s a similar weight to my Markbass mini combo. It’s a one hand lift but I reckon around 14kgs. It’s a bit of a beast but the components are very high quality and the amp is in a brushed steel chassis.
  16. It’s 48cms - 19” wide, 34cms - 13” deep and 20cms - 8” height
  17. Trace Elliot Twin Valve Head in official cabinet/sleeve. This is an extremely powerful amp with amazing tone and versatility. Modestly rated at 115 watts it will blow many modern amps out of the water in terms of punch and volume. The build quality is near military spec - it’s heavy duty and over engineered. An old school and industrial looking UK made vintage amp. It’s all original as far as I can see and has just come back from being serviced after a quarantine at a cost of £85 with a clean bill of health. It has the typical low transformer hum of an old valve amp. I think it’s late 80’s so now around 30 years old! It must be an early model as it doesn’t have the balanced DI. There are a few reviews on here of people’s experiences of these amps. I don’t want trades and I’m also against shipping it as it’s very heavy as you would expect. I’d prefer the potential buyer to try it out so I’m happy for you to collect at an acceptable social distance from my front garden after I demo it. Only selling as I’ve bought an old AC50 setup. For obvious reasons no none UK sales. More pictures added - the Markbass cab or Jennings cab are not included of course! £295 Thanks for looking!
  18. I’d buy your red one!
  19. Yes I’ll do that tomorrow in daylight. Meanwhile here is a picture of the circuit I took whilst cleaning the bass and also the jack socket compared to my 79 P bass.
