When something isn't selling it can generally be rectified by lowering the price until it becomes an offer too good to be refused. Whether someone does that or thinks 's*d it, I'd keep it rather than go that low' is up to the individual. I have to say that there would be a price that I'd be interested in this bass but unfortunately it hasn't reached it yet.
There's a clue there Oli
 2. Looks great Jimi Lost a knob or has the shaft broken too?

 5.
PMd! there are others that have done this course, if you search "shuker course" there are a few threads with people asking about the course, and a few threads from people to have done the course. although, sorry, the vast majority or threads that turn up in the search are ones where i've referred to my "shuker course taitycaster" in a reply.
Always makes me think of someone sowing potato seeds for some reason
 6.
Thanks guys, some very kind words coming from you. The other frustrating thing is, not only have I managed to switch to finger style after 20 or so years of playing with a pick, my bass playing now is better than it has ever been and I just hope I can do the same in a new band.
Aside::: Was it playing the Stagg that did that? It was with me /Aside:::
 7.
I would not say a natural leader, more of a support type person. I am very motivated in things I believe in. If something needs to be done then lets do it with 100% and do it properly. The band do keep saying I am very driven. They sort of funtioned before but not really. They had a facebook page but it had not been updated for maybe 6 to 10 months so to me, this was the first thing that needed to be updated. I suggested it to the the band and they agreed and said they would do it. After about two months of nothing happening, I said, look, this needs to be done, do you want me to do it so they said ok. Same with Myspace, not updated for months, emails from promotors not replied to etc. Again, waited about two months and nothing happened and so I offered and updated it. With regards to practises, when I first joined they booked up 3 months of practises. Got to July and I said, can we do the same again, book the next six months up and we all agreed but nothing happened. So a few weeks passed and I asked again and nothing. A few weeks ago, a list finally came out of suggested dates which we replied to to say yes or no we can do but still, nothing booked up. Even this Sunday we are supposed to be practising yet its not been booked despite a few emails regarding this Sundays practise. They had done a handful of gigs before I came along but despite agreeing to do a load more, the guitarist has booked 1 and I have booked all the others. The singer has sent a few emails saying we have been offered to play at various venues but then never chases it up or gets us booked in and so it just falls by the wayside. I think your right that because they are doing nothing, I have just ended up taking everything onboard. However, I did call a meeting in July and delegate things to each member of the band. Guess what, still waiting on the Singer and Percusionist to do some of there things.
Ok Here's the plan... Take the singer out for a curry. Explain how you feel and how it looks and say that if he/she coud sort out their part of it things could be a lot better. It sounds like the singer may have been the defacto "manager" before you came along so he or she may have enough left to pull it back from the brink .. However if the singer still leaves it all to you start taking a management fee .. charge, say £5 per email, Minimum pay for every hour spend doing theMyspace and Facebook, all phone calls, etc ... plus 99% of any gig fee from gigs yo get.,. That should cover it ....
 8. Rock your daddy
 9. Nah, not worth it. How will it be when it gets hard? Just imagine if all your efforts were matched by each of the others ... You'd be on the main stage at Glastonbury next year ... Drummer with no kit? Perfect
 10.
Don't knock the Claude - my band went there in August (more opportunity as the students have gone home) and we played 3 songs and were well received by the regular players as well as the punters. They have a good PA and ams for 2 guitars and bass. With the future of the Globe in the air we can't knock any venue. Cheers Phil
Ok .... but getting a go as a lonewolf bass player is neigh on impossible cos Jim the Jam Master books in whole bands doing 3 songs each auditioning to be his house band .... That's not really a jam session or open mic.. Mind you it means more interesting stuff gets played Circumstances have changed and I'll be gracing the Canadian with my presence tonight. If you go give me a nod ..
 11.
Been a bit quiet with this, I've not had any pictures so nothing to properly update with, but Finbar has been to see Jon today and has informed me sanding is completed and it is ready for spraying cue the throbbing in my pants!!!
Wow should be done for August Bank Holiday then

It seems like an incredibly good deal. Im fairly well versed in carpentry so am seriously considering this. Any info would be great. 19. There's two jam sessions I know of, one a half brick's throw from the Globe at the Claude on Albany Road, the other at the Canadian in Splott. Might get to the latter one later on. You'd get a go at the Canadian, probably not at The Claude...
 20. 21? Pah I've got strings older than that .... But seriously Happy Birthday, PED's best mate

 22.
I can attest that 40ft definitely does. I once tried 20ft -> pedalboard -> 20ft and it was shockingly dull-sounding when I true-bypassed the whole board, even with active basses.
ah that's a point There's 8 meters of Van Damme and George L between my wireless and the amp after its excursion to the front of the stage ...
 23. Blige I'd be well tied up with 30 foot of lead to trip over. Doesn't a 30 foot lead affect the sound too?
 24. These don't come up very often so this may be worth pursuing even though it's in the states. $2000 "but flexible" Bizarrely it can do a fine P bass sound a la James Jamerson .. Not something single cuts are usually known for http://www.talkbass.com/forum/showthread.php?t=567769
 25. Spotted a Wood & Tronics for sale on Talkbass (in the US) and that lead me to this video Roberto Badoglio playing in the trio LOW_KICK with bassist Enrico Pasini and drummer Pablo De Biasi at EuroBassDay 2007. Both playing Wood & Tronics basses.
