Wow, I am not usually a fan of W&T basses that I have seen but that looks stunning!! Can we get some sound clips at some point , would love to hear what that sounds like :-) Steve
Thanks Steve. Sound clips er probably not I don't have the tech... Mind you I've not heard it either ... it's still in Italy If the plan has worked it should be capable of sounding like a P bass from Jamerson to Lynott and Jean Jaques* plus the J pup tones. * ie vol on full, tone on full, PUP copntrol set to P pup. Then pluck, thumb or pick in different places on the strings Same as any other P bass

She did say hummmmmmm in tha "yeah right if you think I'm falling for that..." kind of way. My wife can count so my ploy to have a Shuker P5 and a Fender P4 bothin Jamerson Sunburst didn't work... I think she'll notice the new one though. It's certainly not sunburst
Si, when you next speak to the W&T boyos, can you please ask them to update their website? Some of us bass porn users need a dose a little more regularly than they're providing... Eude
ha ha Yeah You'll be excited to know "an update is imminent". Meanwhile, in my own particular Pawn Shop, they certainly know how to do an attractive heel ....
That looks sturdy as a tank!! Only discovered W&T recently, I love unusual basses - try finding another bass like that. The LEDs are a sweet touch
Ha ha Yeah. It will be but not heavy. I insisted on side LED's. Can't cope without, these days. I blame my Shuker That's a tale on it's own though as they don't do it normally so I had to source them here and get them sent out. Two lost shipments and some confusion from the supplier caused about a month's delay.
Haha, Really?? Didn't know you had a Wood n Tronics Si?? How is it?? I'd have to sell EVERYTHING to afford it and even then I would have to play it acoustically
Nearly... Someone did follow one of these up to see what happened a few years back. I think it just went quiet when the scammer realised...
My wife is a quick learner. She now knows each and every one of my instruments, the brand and model of each instrument, all the features of each of my basses, and is fully aware of each and every amp I own. We also have a flat so small that another instrument would stand out like another person in the house. I couldn't sneak one in if my life depended on it. Fortunately, she trusts me, knows I am very good with money (she's not bad either!), and good with funding new purchases using old gear. As such, she didn't bat an eyelid when I said in May of 2009 'sweetheart, I'm planning a new Wood&tronics fretless, it'll cost even more than the last one... hope that's ok'... Her response: 'sure, what features is it going to have?' I love my wife
Well there's no way she'll mistake that for yet another Geddy Jazz is there ...
There's a missing integer in your analysis Chris. It's (up to and including) 2:4:herd and before any cheerless git chimes in, I'm Welsh.
Don't live here though, do you, tough guy ..... and I already did the Woolly Wives bit
She said "didnt you used to have a baby blue Precision when we met" I was stunned.
She's not that good, Fender have never made a "Baby Blue" precision.
And of course Wales
Do Woolly Wives count?

Used to have a 98 "Vintage White" Fender P that was called "The Custard Bass" by my band. The white plate didn't help.
My Spector almost doubled up since I got it 3 years ago. Blame the economy. but that also means that I get more money if I decided to sell it, which I won't
Yeah ... but it's like house prices rising all the time. You can only actually benefit if you then don't spend the proceeds on a replacement bass (or house) as they have also gone up.

Quite into Steampunk Art after visiting the exibition in Oxford at the weekend. Sorry these are mostly Guit@rz and mostly art rather than functional instruments but pretty cool none the less. IMHO.
Hi there, just signed up to the forum to let you know that this is a scam. I've had identical emails sent to me over the past couple of days. Might be worth letting everyone else on the forum know about this, and likewise, any other musicians you know to prevent them from getting ripped off by this "James Langdon" fellow. Andy The Forty Fives www.thefortyfives.co.uk
That's right neighbourly of you. : Welcome to the community.

It happens regularly. We've had a few down the years. Not even worth your time to play games with them.
So, developments... our church has almost completed a deal on a building in the centre of Nottingham. Verrry exciting stuff. What is also exciting is that the person who is in charge of sound/PA has taken my IEM experiences on board and decided to go hardwired IEM for the new venue (e.g. drum booth for drummer plus headphones, IEM headphone boxes for stationary band members and those who stand by an amp such as guitarists, keyboardists, bassists, etc). Finally! We're getting somewhere! Mark
Drummer in a box .... hummmmmmmmm

There's a good thread on the subjct here http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...amp;#entry56924 We get all our weddings from our website and word of mouth. Agents don't bother us unless they have been let down. We are just too easy to find on the web. So I'd say get the right approach (as on that thread) and a decent website and it will happen.
Mark Your bass will be in the shop next week, I can't wait to see it in the flesh, it is coming with a rather stunning Chronos 5 - HERE The guys at WT are raising the bar with every bass that they make. Mark
Glad to hear both of those things

Yeah! The basslines were one of the best bits of the Mama Mia film. Lovely loud bass.
