1. Why downsize ?
2. They used to play Barbarellas in Brum early 70s. Not to my taste tbh. iirc they ended their set with Wm Bell's Private Number.
3. I read somewhere that John Lennon was scheduled to play on TV somewhere. Someone from the TV station rang to ask what kind of amp he would need. "One that works" he said.
4. Throw in some fun stuff at the end of the set. Audience participation always goes down well. Wooly Bully, Gt Balls of fire. If you think rock n roll is uncool, try some Glam Rock stuff, Blockbuster or something like that.
5.
Is it extra if the client wishes to choose more than 3 additional vegetables?
Bet it would be if he wanted every item to taste like something else, which is what he's asking for really.
6.
... and also Jeff Lynne didn't live far from the number 11 route.
So similar influences then. I spotted McCartneys frog record in Ozzys kitchen last time I was there, and he used to live near the inner circle 8 route. Probably just goes to prove what goes around comes around, or something
7. Magical mystery Tour had to come from somewhere.
8. Turn your amps up to 11 and pull the knobs off, then busk every song as a 3 chord thrash. If they complain say " Funk ? I thought you said punk"
9. Save the picture, crop and re size it in paintbox, save that on a stick, take stick to a decent high stationery shop and as them to print it on A2 paper. Low tech solution like that should cost you about a quid.
10. Perhaps the beatles were influenced by the B'ham Corporation inner circle 8 after all... It did pass at least two venues that they played before they made it.
11.
Hiya Roland rock , just a smidgen on the strings little sharper so not really a tone
I have heard of lead players in country & western bands years ago doing that in order to cut through, never head of it for Bass though. And only a quarter tone.
12.
But what if it's one of those circular buses like the number 11? It doesn't matter where you get on because the bus always goes all the way around and around and around and around and around ... a bit like this thread really.
So if The Beatles are the No.11 , would The Stones be the No.8 ? Shorter route through much rougher areas.
13.
My point, some of us were just born at a time that gave us wisdom and a perspective on rock that future generations would not have. Blue
Is actually the part I do agree with.
14.
and it does have the look of something that is run from a room over a garage in Hull,
If you think Vintage TV is bad, you should see Big Centre TV. I think they only have two sets, one is a cotwold stone 'wall' but they change the props in front of it, the other is a huge rack of vinyl albums, that appear to be the 24" versions. But what can you expect from a channel that airs old episodes of Crossroads, not in sequence, entirely at random.
15.
Well, you wouldn't get Kennedy. You weren't there. If you'd been there for Kennedy as you were there for Diana you'd have a personal basis for comparison but - through no fault of your own - you weren't there for Kennedy. So you won't ever 'get' it. Not your fault, of course, but there you go. No need to apologise. Anyway, like most people of my age, I remember exactly what I was doing when Kennedy was assassinated. I was leaning out of a window in the Texas Book Depository with a carbine in my hands.
Small world, I was lyin on a grassy knoll. trying out my new bolt action rifle.
16. Here you go... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2-x-6-35mm-1-4-MONO-Female-Sockets-to-1-x-6-35mm-STEREO-Plug-Jack-Lead-15cm-/330934902765?hash=item4d0d41dfed
17.
there's little else being said.
Is too.

19. Wonderful Tonight Black Magic Woman Still Got The Blues Dancing in the Moonlight Summer of 69 Apache All Right Now would be on there but I have never stooped quite that low and always refused to play it. Once, when looking for a covers band I ran an add on Partysounds with the line 'anybody who wants to play Alright Now or Apache needn't bother to contact me.
20. You did the right thing. Did it myself after playing with a band for a couple of years. I'd quit cos I thought I was too old at 26, didnt gig again till my 40th birthday when I'd found a popular local covers/blues band with loads of gigs. First couple of years was OK, but issues within the band / not enjoying it anymore got so bad I quit. Had a couple of lean years with bands that didnt really work out, then 20 great ones playing stuff I enjoyed with various bands, some better gigs and better times with better bands than I could have ever imagined when playing with the covers band. None of the members of which are still playing, and I doubt if I would be if I had stuck it out, and from what you've said, you have moved on from what you wanted from that band. Better to quit than to spend years staying cos it was better than not having a gig, When one door closes and all that... I'm just retiring now at 63, cos due to a health issue I cant physically do it anymore. But no regrets other than wishing I'd done it all a bit sooner. Good luck with whatever you decide to do next.
21. Theres a facebook group called Thing you dont see anymore. Some wag put Cilla black on it when she died. i dont think it was disrespectful, but it was moderately funny.
22. Take it. But start and finish with different numbers. Most punters will remember the first two and the last one, plus any that mean something to them personally.
23. What do you want to make those eyes at me for, if they dont mean what they say ?
24.
And like most of us I guess, we wouldn't have rather been born at a different time, and that is pretty good.
I was just a kid for most the 60s, 17 when they ended. I read so much about the sixties that i seem to have missed that I sometimes wish I'd been born a bit earlier. If only to have been gigging in the early 60s when apparently there was a dance hall on every street and 3 well paid gigs a night was not unusual.
25.
I would say yeah, you have been influenced by The Beatles and so were the other 1000s of bands you mentioned. Blue
Bob Marley though, apparently. http://news.bbc.co.u...ine/7571952.stm
