1. I bought this exact same kit (except it has 4 of sockets in place of the allen keys) years ago..... from the 99p shop. The screwies are all shagged now but the pliers and snips, although ropey, still come in handy now and again.

3. Fair play to them it looks a neat enough job but... 5 into 4 just won't go! -> linky Apparently "the pickups/electrics did not need replacing" either.
4. Shall I tell him or will you? -> linky
5. Stumbled across this creature. There's something very Salvador Dalí-esque about it... if you're into that type of thing.
6. If I get the choice of head, I always except. *cough* Back on topic - Any reason for picking these 3? Apart from the price bracket they don't seem to have much in common. What are you after?
7. Just in case he's on about bass synths -> linky and youtube link added
8. All I can say is that I've bought Ashdown gear and have pestered Ashdown CS with my questions and have nothing but good things to say about both.
9.
That'll teach you to use cotton buds!! Get well soon mate!
It's probably just "Markbass Ear". A documented side-effect of using the insanely loud Markbass amps is perforated eardrums. Get well soon
10. Bummer! I thought mine had change a few days ago too but I followed my own advice and returned it back to normal again. I was invited to test the beta months ago but I didn't get on with it and got it set back to the "old" way. Maybe it has remembered that for me. There used to be a bit in the settings page where you could choose it on or off but I don't see that option now.
11. I find that it sticks if you use eBay.com then go into your own one (ebay.co.uk) therefore I avoid .com like the plague and only log into .co.uk. Clear your cache and then log back in and it should go back to "normal".... at least until it becomes mandatory.
12.
my buckle roughly touches my bass just below the neck plate, which is perfect for me
Yeah but how high are your trousers? Simon Cowell or Mini Me?
13. Darn it and now everyone's gonna know about that pup.
14.
Silly! Thats not Hugh, It's Ted
Ha ha right enough. My monitor is squint to where I sit most of the time and from that angle it looked like Hugh but straight on it's Ted fo' shizzle.
15.
Though, if you still want to rockNroll, watch some Mr. Trujillo - he knows how to play and act good at the same time Orion Watch it from 3:35, you'll get my mind..
One of my all time fav 'tallica songs but (and I know he's not) RT looks like a total noob playing that. All that's missing is his tongue sticking out.
16. <-- As you can see, I'm for tha low down look but basically I'm all over the shop when I'm playing depending upon the tempo or vibe at the time. In our heaviest sections I'll often play bent right over or crouched down with my basses butt on the deck or bring the head up vertical next to my ear for the low-down-big-stretchy stuff. This one time ("at band camp" --- sry) after going on after a psycho-billy type band which had a double bass player who liked to do mountain-goat impersonations (ala the Bill Haley/double bass pic above), I went for a bit of showboating and stood on my J bass and played a few bars in the middle of a bass intensive part, the previous band were not far from the front of the stage watching us but weren't amused (??) they thought I was taking the piss. I just wanted to see if I could do it and thought it might make em chuckle too.
17.
Prices are on the site aren't they?
Wow I never knew Hugh Lawrie played bass.
18. Got any close up pics of your one?
19. Luddite says : I feel intimidated by his ability, consequently using my frustration as a catalyst must find an excuse to hate it (psychology 101). Ah-ha, it's tuned funny therefor this is not bass. TO THE HILLS! RAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH! Ou7shined says : I think it is "nice". I remember seeing a vid of his that was dedicated to his g/f - it was "nice" too. I applaud the lad and see a great future for him in yoga vid soundtracks or mall music. Keep on sticking it to the man Zander. \m/
20. Crazy, I was speaking to an old boy today who turned out to be a bass player too. He gigs regularly and his bass is a Shaftesbury (I pretended I'd heard of them ). It's the only bass he's ever had and he's had it from new. He kept on hinting that compared to me he was a dusty old dinosaur and how he'd been playing for the last 30 years. He presumed form my looks and my 3 year old daughter hanging onto my hand that I was a young whippersnapper. I didn't have the heart to tell him I've been playing for the last 25.
21. I had my practically mint Mk1 with Sica drivers up for £225, finally let it go to a mate for £200.
22.
very individual bass but defianetly not worth the money http://cgi.ebay.com/Vintage-Electric-BASS-...1QQcmdZViewItem
OMFG that is the scrappiest looking axe I've ever seen. I wonder if it was used as a prop in a vid or something - surely it hasn't been played for real in that state.
