I'll see what I can do. It won't be up for sale for a while as I have to find the right piece of wood to fill that hole. New bridge has been ordered.
Thanks, keep me at the top of the list LOL Here's my opinion on your bass, you've filled the excess control holes, I had that done by Chris Eccleshall on one of my basses, looked great when I picked it up, then the paint settled and it sticks out like a sore thumb The front pick up route, gonna be a P.I.A. to hide So, get a piece of flame or quilted maple, get the front of the body planed down to however thick your maple is, fill the pick up route with maple, add the quilted/flame to the front and spray it tobacco burst. I had one of the original Bass Collection basses, in the 80's, they came with hard cases as standard back then, wish I could remember what I did with mine
WOW! I would have travelled to anywhere in the UK for a USA Mockingbird!
Better still, this was the one Phil Lynott used in the "Do what you want too" video, and had been put in a loft in 1982, I retrieved it in December of 2006 !!!

Kent's a bit far from Cornwall ain't it, I thought I was mad going from Plymouth to Northampton for a free USA BC Rich Mockingbird

Is this worth anything? - Signed Duff McKagan bass
Lorne replied to chriswilliams666's topic in Bass Guitars
If I were to buy it, Which I'm not, first thing I would do, is remove the signature.Anyone can get a signature on a guitar or bass, the internet is littered with them, unless the artist is dead and worthy, such as John Entwhistle, then I've never seen a signed instrument go for more than what an unsigned one does Just my experience -
I always wanted this bass, it sold 3 months before I joined the Internet!!!, I would have bought it too Was never going to use my 2007 Customshop (which I bought NEW) to do a copy I managed to find a MK1 USA Widow bass in Singapore it got damaged after this picture, hence the silver edgeing in the next one I didn't get it from Singapore, but a Scottish bloke did, I got it from him after the edgeing was added The one on the Left So, off to Chris Eccleshall Minus Paint New Headplate Handcut 3mm Brass pieces (cut by me and my fingers), then Chromed New Bridge, New, never used 1980's Grover Titan Tuners supplied by me The inlays and Logo were also sourced by me I know I didn't do a lot of the refurb, but I did cut all the brass

The trouble with these necks, the fretboard in NOT wood, it is a manmade substance, which feels very grainey against you teeth when you rip one apart The fretboard has no strength, I had a Warlock with this bad bow problem, bought 2 carbon fibre rods and a new truss rod for it, my luthier removed the fretboard (Eventually) and replaced it with a slab of Ebony, using the original truss rod, the neck was then fine

Just sold Pablo an Aguilar OBP-1 pre-amp, he knew what he wanted and what he was prepared to pay, asked all the relevant questions.Decided it was for him, and paid instantly, He tells me it works fine, so good deal

Ok, here goes The L.A.California neckplate was used on EVERYTHING, damn Bernie Rico, it was used to show where the parent company was based, You see it thousands of time, "It says U.S.A. on the neckplate, therefor it is American" As stated before, it isn't it is a Korean NJ Series II from around 1992, shame this hadn't turned up last week or next month, I could do with the case for my Snakeskin one, and the bass for parts Best of luck with the sale
When I bought it I was told that their was a limited number of the 5 string model imported after the product was discontinued,
Yeah mate, that just means "HEy guys I have a great idea, let's build xxxxxx as a bass", then a few months later "Well, that didn't sell at all did it" Limited edition, means it was designed to be a special run of, lets say, 100 pieces, not that they tried to sell something and failed, just a picky point, sorry, anyway, have a bump on me
