1. Sorely tempted, even though I already have an excellent DaisyRock twelver. SHMBO wouldn't appreciate the nuances between them, I'm afraid. A superb instrument, more playable than a Ricky, for mortals. Good luck with the sale. Any chance of photos of the red-burst on your one..?
 2.
...it turns out he IS a musician all along!!
And there you go, you see..? Another bassist fooled. It's too easy; fish in a barrel... (Sigh... )
 3.
... First simple question revolved around tonic chords...
That's 'tonic' as in 'sets the tone'; it might help if mentally pronounced that way (the 'ton..' part pronounced like 'tone', not as in 'gin and tonic'...). A 'C' scale has its tone set by the tonic note, ie: the 'C'... It is, effectively, the tone by which the other notes in a musical piece are, mentally, referenced, or judged, by the listener. A piece comes to resolution (and therefore sounds comfortable...) when it returns to the tonic sound, and comes to rest. Very many (not all, but very many...) pieces of music finish on the tonic note or chord. Think of major orchestral stuff, at the end going, apparently endlessly, through those repeated big orchestral 'hits' until, finally, settling on 'Ta-Dahhhhhhhh', followed by applause. That's the tonic (as in 'tone', not gin and tonic...) of the piece performing its role as resolution.

 5.
You should always pick songs for the audience. You won't be able to educate the audience, that's not what they come out for and not your job. Your job is to sell alcohol and entertain. Blue
No, Blue; that's your job. Our job is to have fun and educate the audience, whilst (hopefully...) entertaining them.
 6.
... Dad- I have no idea what that is! Is that the post Brexit stock market?
Well it was going to be my contribution to the July Basschat Composition Challenge, but maybe I should reconsider..? On topic, what exactly would you like to see on this screen (take a virtual pencil and sketch something to show us what you want..?).
 7.
... Is there anything out there that does that?
Like this..? Reaper (on a laptop, for portability..?), doing FFT audio analysis. An oscilloscope will do this, of course, but one with VGA o/p is likely to cost £5000 or so.
 8. Jon sent me some string sets (to France..!), well packed, speedily, with excellent communication. Recommended; a Good Egg.
 9.
If that's the criterion (and I'm not disputing its validity) then I'd venture that more people on the planet will have heard of Ringo. Just sayin'
Are you sure..?
 10. +1 I concur heartily and entirely with the above. Excellent work, could still be improved. Well done all. (I found that the 'trick' with having a section 'jump out at you' is to have a slight volume increase for a second or so, but it actually subsides to the 'regular' volume, ready for another go. It's unusual (but maybe an artistic choice..?) to have such a disparity in volume between the sections. A slight difference, with a subtle 'surge' for a bar or so is, in my view, more effective. Just sayin'...)
 11.
Buddy is gone, but he should still be high up on the list. Buddy can out play many of those guys dead or a live. I'm pretty sure Buddy would agree. Blue
... and I'm pretty sure that, with his legendary humility so often found amongst the 'greats', he'd bow to the superior relevance of Meg White's contribution to drumming history. More folks have heard of, listened to and danced the night away to 'Seven Nation Army' than to the whole of Mr. Rich's career. Such is Show Business.
 12. Yes, pack up the p/ups and control plate, all of it, and send 'em to KiOgon. He'll fit it all together, solderless for future upkeep, and it'll come back 'tiptop'. I wouldn't recommend messing about with sticky tape, except to try something out 'quick 'n dirty'. Get it done properly by the Expert; your bass is worth it, no..?
 13. If you can drive, rent a car; if not, take a coach or train...
 14.
... No-one has volunteered a strategy for quickly working out the key of a song...
Far from universal, but much music, especially popular songs, resolves, and so the last note or chord are often the key. Not guaranteed, but useful if there's no other indication. (Drummers often use this for finding the key... )
 15.
... We were asked to play a short set at the end of the show as judges, plus Uli Jon wanted to play a song too!...
Just being a tad mischievous here, but would I be right in assuming that this was an unpaid invitation to play..? Congratulations on the contacts made, of course, and good luck with the ongoing venture.
 16.
Available now from musicalperformanceaccessoriesforthelethargic.com
I note that you've taken the PC shilling and omitted the pouf as a foot-rest.
 17.
... It's all so fast that you end before the page turn. Look here, AJ proves it from his chair.
Thanks for posting that; a piece of really good music played by really good musicians. About time, I say; my thumb is up.
 18.
...an understated billboard of the certificate during the men's Wimbledon final this weekend...
'Understated', eh..? What do you do for 'brash'..?

 20.
...answer in one syllable words.
There is only one mic for all uses, but with differing mounting systems and cable adapters. One of these will cover all of your stated instrument needs. Sorry for the verbosity; hope this helps.
 21.
Hmm. What if it sounds like Jimmy Chamberlin??
Then there, too, you're doing it wrong. Think Charlie Watts, playing lightly, or even that most ubiquitous of drummers: Roland.
 22. Some of us older folks dimly remember Vox cabs with Xlr, and Martin PA and foldback cabs with those connectors. Bose, too, had 'em... Speakons came later, but we've seen 'em all, from banana plugs to spade or fork terminals to bare wires..! Just sayin'.
 23.
I think we asumed that the xlr out from the passive tops into the active subs "carried on" the signal as if you were daisy chaining one passive top to another? Totaly ignorant I know!!!
Xlr does not mean 'line level' signal; on passive cabs it's a speaker-level (Martin's, anyone..?). Taking the xlr from the passive tops to the active subs is a Very Bad Idea, as the active subs are not wanting such a high signal, and could be damaged; the signal going into the passive tops will suffer, too, as will the amp driving all of this. Recommendation..? Have someone competent and experienced look over your set-up, and note how they say it should best be used. Set it up that way each time; don't 'improvise' without knowledge. Things can (and often do...) get to be expensive.
