  1. I think it's also on gumtree too. whatsapp://send?text=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.gumtree.com%2Fp%2Fguitar-instrument%2Ffender-precision-bass-please-read%2F1461263740%3Futm_source%3DWhatsApp%252B%26utm_medium%3DSocial%26utm_campaign%3Dsocialbuttons
  2. Thankfully there isn't another band member whose name also begins with an "L".
  3. No charge - Shirley Caesar
  4. What about the Ritter Royal Flora Aurum? Is the tone improved by having the details below? Remember it did cost £250k. The fingerboard inlay features flowers made of 24-karat gold, with platinum-dipped black diamonds on each leaf. This bass is literally dripping in gold; the tuner, bridge, knobs, and buttons are all made of gold. Not only that, but diamonds top each knob. The knob position marks are made of green diamonds. If this bass didn’t get any more extra, the nut is made of ivory from a 10,000-year-old Siberian Mammoth.
  5. Pink Cadillac - Natalie Cole
  6. I thought about that but I would probably end up keeping the cheap Ray pup. Also how much do you think I could get for a second hand £20 pickup?
  7. Some of the best tones I have ever produced came from a TE head and Vanderkley cab. Basses I had at the time included an ACG Harlot and Ritter Cora.
  8. I know that EBS are well respected but I still think that they don't get the full respect that the equipment deserves. I had a 360w head and 2x10 cab which I foolishly sold to go lightweight. IMO one of the best setups I ever had - coincidentally the same rig as Laurence Cottle was using at the time which led to a great conversation when he did a seminar at the first Herts Bash. Really should have held on to it.
  9. Agree with every word written. Any time I have needed to have contact with Ashdown the service has exceeded my expectations. I once bought an amp from ebay, after speaking to Guy I had it sent straight to the Ashdown factory where it was serviced FOC and sent to me without charge. I didn't give them a penny!! That is my yardstick for good customer service and nobody, and I mean nobody, has come close. Closest was Bernie Goodfellow who, similarly, was servicing a bass for the owner which I bought while in his care. Bernie rang me to ask how I wanted the bass set up - loooow - and what strings I liked. I like very light strings (95s ideally) - he didn't have a set in stock so went and bought a set, set the action and fitted the strings for me. He even paid for the courier - so a very close second. Big companies have no excuse!! - Warwick are you listening??
  10. I've been looking for a white pickup cover for my short scale Musicman without any luck. I could buy a replacement pick up with a white cover for £20 but I already have enough unused parts in my parts box. After trying everywhere else I finally tried Strings'n'things - the UK importers for Musicman - expecting to be told "no, go away". However I got a prompt response saying "Yes, give us your address and we'll order one for you". AMAZING!!! Here's the details you'll need to place an order: [email protected] M05343 – SR White H Version Only – RRP £8.10 incl. VAT + £2.50 P&P.

  14. Never enough - Loren Allred

  16. I think that there would be members here interested in buying/ trading for the pickup covers.
  17. How deep is your love - The BGs
  18. viPerfect - Fairground Attraction
  19. There's a 6er on eBay for £2650 currently https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/334512432802?hash=item4de27ea6a2:g:8UEAAOSw1E1i3bWo&amdata=enc%3AAQAIAAAAwEc0%2BK1SlOfnSXLaManjApiN3UszaQ11%2BQtnF1sKZ0bVvWP47OJ7zWSkbenOgyFYb16oS6%2BhzC7ulyezeIhC0V2i1KuT0BBBkwC7%2BVzrvBPJY644uRfgC1cSbxzFDhv0ChTGI5UaOUTQsd4tnM4u785JlSN9l%2FgKAQ%2BREvOVrT0DNZ3LQOvArEcptpvBF0%2BD4%2BA%2FJ6KP%2Fm1Yjck%2BuIgsd%2F%2BzHTEuN7ow2xyBcY0eFYLGALEbQjgjYPnbImqTQyfZfQ%3D%3D|tkp%3ABk9SR-ru3L-jYg
  20. She loved like Diamond - Spandau Ballet
  21. Possibly...there have been some hideous creations appearing on ebay from new idiots recently.
  22. I bought an Aguilar OB2 TK Preamp late last week. Polite and efficient phone order - put in the post that evening. I know that others have had less than perfect service. Shows that they do get it right sometimes.
  23. Stop that train - lots of reggae artistes
  24. Is anybody confident enough using WordPress to help another bass player with a project?

    It'll be a paid project.

Please contact me for more details.

Until a list of requirements are known , it’s difficult to know what to suggest.

If it’s an online shop there are quite a

lot of options, though all have pros and cons. I use OpenCart for my online shop , but I host it on a virtual private server. OC is free but it's a lot of work.

Perhaps the person wants a blog, lots of options there.

Could be they need a simple website for their band and booking tickets?

There appear to be an awful.lot of experience offered here but until we know the person wants, it's difficult to recommend a solution.
