Lol Sorry, trying to multi task with two kids doesn't work! Meant to say I'll have a look at the Super J and possibly P

Thanks for the replies, I'll check a Combustion out. Is there much difference with the Combustion 2s?
-
I traded an ABZ earlier this year as I got hand cramps playing in the first position with the?? 37'' scale?? I've read that the Combustions come with a 35'' scale. Do they feel much different? Are the neck shapes the same? I absolutely loved the neck from about the third fret onwards. This relates to the 4 strings, not 5. I'm feeling the need to add a Dingwall to the 'keeper' collection if I can get a shorter neck and active electronics

WAL Basses - Thinking of taking a dip Views?
Jamesemt replied to bassatnight's topic in General Discussion
On similar lines, would you devalue a Wal if you got a fretless example fretted? There seems to be a lot more fretless Wals around for sale. -
I'm very interested once the iPad version comes out

I have an immaculate, unused BR600 8 tracker which stores to compact flash. Loads of inbuilt effects and programmable drum machine. Ability to bounce without destroying the original tracks. If memory serves me right, you can have 8 Virtual tracks per track. Comes with psu/card and a cover. Looking to swap for a decent hand held recorder for band rehearsals or sell for £100

Results from the first rehearsal are positive - got into a bit of a volume war with the guitarist's 4x12 Boogie and the Benz gave up and cut out. After we all turned down it worked out great...but not a great deal of headroom there. May have to upgrade when funds allow...but not rush (thankfully).

Some great advice there thanks guys (no I'm not ditching the Ampeg!!)
If you feel you would like to off load the 3.0 to upgrade to a 6.0 or something different altogether send me a pm, Im after one as a backup/home use head
Cheers but it's a 310 not just a Shuttle 3
Are you gonna have decent PA support? If so, you should be okay - otherwise, you might be struggling. Suck it and see,
Nope, no PA support.
You don't need power, you need decibels! Is your current rig effectively a 3x10" stack?
Yes that's correct. I do love the Ampeg sound too

I've just got into a mates band but have just found out that they are a twin guitar setup...and we are playing Rock - Foo Fighters, GNR etc I've currently got a Shuttle 3 10 with an ampeg mini SVT as an extension cab. That's 300w. Does anyone have any ideas for the lightest/cheapest way to get more power? I love the current setup as I'm paranoid about my back and the Ampeg cab only weighs?? 25lbs or something. I may be over reacting, but thought I'd get advice in case I am not... I was thinking maybe long term of going to a stereo amp, and drive 2xmini svts per side. They are 8ohm each. Any advice?

I think you'll be well pleased with the Mono - I've got the double. The only gigbag I've found to be better is a Levy's one which comes with Dingwalls...and apparently you can't buy. I feel hard cases are only necessary if you are using a band van - my basses lay on the back seat as I've got a relatively small car too (Ibiza).

FS: Fender Gold Elite Precision I w/original deluxe case
Jamesemt replied to pluckedout's topic in Basses For Sale
Did you get this from Classic & Cool guitars? I sold one back to them which was identical. Anyways - lovely bullet proof basses - believe these were the forerunner to the Custom shop - very, very high quality. I would love another, but can't get on with the pancake 80s necks. Fwiw all my gigging basses have these preamps... -

I traded my Dingwall for this fairly recently, and whilst it is a joy to play, I just can't get on with the EQ. Immaculate with Ebony top, LEDs and decent hard case. Is a wood lovers delight - just as good to look at as to play with all the different types of wood. This bass cost £1760 - the quality is obvious from when you open the case. Asymmetric neck which is very comfortable - feels a bit better than my Sadowsky neck wise. Now for sale only as I'm going to take a break from playing. Want £1150, it's unmarked.
