  1. Small world an all that. I'm in Hedon. Welcome to the forum Richard.

  4. Surely someone wants these. Free to collect from Hull/ £4 for postage
  5. Practically unmarked, has Velcro on the bottom. As the title really. Selling as I've bought a Zoom B3 PP gift works best for me. Thanks
  6. Immaculate condition GS301/302 I think. Quite heavy duty. 2x electric stands, one deep acoustic stand (will take an ABG). These fold small enough to go in a gigbag and are the low stands. Acoustic stand now sold. £8 each posted or £21 for all 3 posted via PP gift
  7. Bought these about 4 years ago but never got around to fitting them so brand new. Recessed black metal handles and the separate Peavey branded grips. Also a set of brand new black corners and brand new screws. £7 posted via Paypal (you pay fees or send as gift).
  8. So I've decide to string my 4 string basses BEAD instead, but wondering if I can get away with it on a Shuker 33''? How heavy would the B have to go?
  9. I'm trying to alter the 'deep' pull switch but can't remember which way around they are. Anyone know? Cheers.

  11. Yeah cheers. The shipping is quite nasty too - $120!!
  12. My Dingwall came with one of these gigbags and I'd really like another. Anyone know where I can get one?
  13. Lol a lightweight compared to the T40. It was around 10lbs. Not heavy by many peoples standards.
  14. I had a 1024 and was blown away with the sound - shame it was a bit heavy and Yamaha quality control left a lot to be desired. I'd have another if I could find a lighter one.
  15. As in, what does that actually mean? Cutting top end? Ive heard it mentioned with Stingrays a lot. Is that the complete opposite of an active (majorly bass boosted) precision (my preferred sound)?
  16. I could always buy a new pickup - don't mind the idea of routing the body as it's had a bad relic job anyway!! How difficult is cutting and fitting a new nut? Obviously the bridge isn't an issue, and I've already changed tuners on the bass. Might have a trial run with my SX...
  17. Cool thanks for that. Pretty obvious when you think about it!!
  18. Been having a problem with a Jazz neck on my Precision, and could do with a 5 string. Is it just a case of buying a new 5 string neck and bridge or am I missing something? Obviously the neck will have to be a 34''.

  22. Fwiw I've had about 30 basses in the last 5 years and found that I can only get the sound in my head (or is that out of my head???) with active basses. Don't get on with Jazz basses ( bought a Sadowsky Jazz untried off here, thinking an expensive Jazz would fit better in the band than a cheap Jazz...it didn't...and I ended up spending more than the initial purchase cost on pickups/different eqs and luthier time...). For me, precision pickup, active 2 band EQ and either DR Sunbeams or bizarrely GHS Boomers seems to get me what I want. The tone I like tends to be quite dubby - despite the fact I play mostly pop rock
