I just can't get on with shortscale basses so looking to trade this. Great condition, never been gigged. Comes with a proper short scale rectangular hard case and a new set of D'addario Nickels and a recent setup. Looking to swap for something interesting - maybe Japanese 70s. Can add cash to the deal. Will also swap for an OLP or a full size SX - try me!! Will upload photos if there's any interest. Sell for £120. Iirc the electrics could do with a resolder as I rushed to put it back together ( it was leant out to a mate).

I think that you will find with a good set of lighweight tuners that the problem goes. I've just changed a set on a US 62RI J neck and the difference is incredible. PM me for an idea of where to buy them from the states...

Badly listed Hohner Jack headless
Oh, ok. Does the Jack bass go for a lot these days? I remember these originally but I haven't kept up
About £200 in good nick... -
Long story involving a mahoosive c*ck up on Specsavers part (I've been allowed to keep these as spares by way of compensation for my inconvenience) but I have two pairs of 'brand new' sealed in packets, never fitted, ER15 filters (beige). £35 delivered Please note unless you have a set of custom moulded plugs these are of no use to you whatsoever! I've included a pic of the pair that I sold to another BCer last month (oh yes this Specsavers fiasco has been going on some time) though please note that the ones that I have for sale are beige/flesh coloured as opposed to clear. Very useful if you have a pair of ER9's or ER25's. A long shot I know but I would do a straight swap if anyone has a set of ER9's, for obvious reasons I would need them to be new and unused.
Is that £35 per pair? If not would you split them? Could do with a spare set after losing one filter at a recent gig - had the entire pub searching the floor for it

FWIW if it is a 62ri they are very good. Bought a '96 US version a few months ago and to my hands they are pretty much identical.

Cheers for that. There's a similar one on the bay for £40. Do you reckon it would be worth a punt at that?

I've just found this on the bay: http://wap.ebay.co.uk/Pages/ViewItem.aspx?...ass&emvcc=0 Is it any good? Looking for a funky customisation/restoration project...

Problem with mobile phone interference with one specific bass
Jamesemt replied to Mike's topic in General Discussion
Similar thing with car stereos and phones. I did a bit of research about this and it turns out it's to do with the phone company frequency being used - I'm on Voda - can't remember but one of the other carriers is notorious for doing it too... -
Is a Gibson Les Paul bass a good deal for £500?
Jamesemt replied to Dogame's topic in General Discussion
i think the real question that should be asked is why did the guy repaint the bass in that god awful colour!!!!!!!!!!!!
Agreed - I always fancied a 'money' bass in blue -

I reckon that's pretty cheap - beware there's lots of Gibson bashing on here... -

Double gigbag recommendations wanted please.
Jamesemt replied to 6stringbassist's topic in General Discussion
I meant double gig bags, not the mono! Strap locks left on your bass don't help, as I found out!
The Mono is really heavy duty - it's got unique left hand/right hand zips - there's a video on YouTube. It might be too expensive for the OP at £200 though. Feels safe enough to house my modded Sadowsky and custom built Fender... -
I use these a lot! On second one in twelve months, both had the stiching go...
The Mono??!! -
Just caught up with this - certainly an improvement from where we were last year!
The thing that really annoys me is the difference in quality compared to something like Guitarist. I presume that's down to budgets?
