1. I'm selling my Alesis gear as I've decided to buy an 8/16 track. The Alesis jamdock allows you to plug into and play along with material on an iphone or ipod: http://www.alesis.com/jamdock £55 posted The Alesis Protrack turns your iphone or ipod into a proper recorder with external mics built in. Control gain levels (record rehearsals) or use the 2 inputs (inlcuding phantom power). I've been using it with 4track to turn my iphone into a 4track recorder. It's not designed for the iphone but seems to work fine with it. You have to activate the headphone output by playing a regular mp3 before doing any recording. http://www.alesis.com/protrack £85 posted Both excellent condition. No boxes or manuals. Would consider trades/can add cash for an 8 track but bear in mind you can buy a new SD 8 track for £250!!
2. Anyone know where the cheapest place is for Roto Swing bass or DR Sunbeams?
3.
Gator roller rack without the locks-bit like a roller suitcase with retractable handles. £50 collection from Hull/courier OK I can't attach photos from my iPhone but can email photos to anyone interested...
Bump
4. Looking to swap this for a Tascam bass trainer/Line 6 Pod (prefer guitar) or something similar with guitar effects. The Jamdock is an ipod dock which you can plug a guitar/headphones into: http://www.alesis.com/jamdock Works with iphone - but wont charge an iphone. Can add cash to the deal.
5. I searched the forum just before I ordered this and couldn't find much. Used it for two rehearsals and it's great. It sounds overly complicated but it's not too bad (Ive an Audere Jazz which I find a bit fiddley). I've finally found something that gives me the sound I'm looking for - thumpy but still cutting through to hear myself clearly. Charging is easy too.
6. In the next week or so Im going to be removing the preamp from my Sadowsky Metro MV4 Jazz. Would anyone be interested in trading it for a decent Stingray preamp - would prefer 3 band but a 2 would be fine also... Alternatively if anyone has a 5 string stingray pickup lying around?
7. Bump - anyone got a Tascam MP3 bass trainer to swap?
8. Gator roller rack without the locks-bit like a roller suitcase with retractable handles. £50 collection from Hull/courier OK I can't attach photos from my iPhone but can email photos to anyone interested...
9. I used the PC as a touchscreen jukebox - it runs XP and in the scheme of things is still half decent. The case could probably do with being replaced as the the top is missing - but otherwise it's good to go. No keyboard or mouse. Can't remember PC specs but it's half decent. Collection from Hull/courier OK.
10. In good nick - silver SA-HE9 Dolby and DTS decoder/power amp. About 10 years old. KEF centre speaker for a Dolby Digital setup in Beech and immaculate. Collection from Hull, will pack if you arrange a courier
11. Behringer cheapie mic with plastic case and mic clip £10 delivered. Unused. Lexicon Alpha SOLD
12.
As OBBM says, won't work. Check out the Micromon from Behringer, or some alternative headphone amp + monitoring equivalents from ART. These act as small headphone amps, that also allow you to pass your bass signal through to an amp, and also to mix in an external signal (e.g. aux, mp3, monitor signal, etc). I've got a similar system integrated in my SFX Preamp (www.sfxsound.co.uk). After using in-ear, I won't go back to monitoring bass from the amp alone. Unless I am leading a band (or other situations where I need to be able to speak/give directions and hear people speak whilst playing at the same time) then I will always run IEM. I am totally convinced by this technology, and it can be achieved for next to nothing nowadays (my first attempt was with a cheap Behringer 4 channel mixer and my best pair of headphones that I had kicking about - sound sucked but I'd never heard myself more clearly!).
How cheap could a wireless system be? Are there any all in one packages that people could recommend?
13.
OldGit got the same things (ACS plugs + T15 inserts) and he thought they were sh*te. He bought (on my recommendation as I have the same) Jays Q-jays and loves them. I use these for monitoring as well as ipod listening and recording. Cost me £100 from iheadphones.co.uk. Dual driver design and incredibly small. The standard plugs are also very comfortable, fit well, and block a great deal of ambient noise. Great midrange detail. Drums sound particularly 3D through them. Low end reproduction is good, but they don't overemphasise the bass like many headphones do. If you dial in a lot of extra bass frequencies most in-ears will distort. Mark
Be interested to see how these compare for noise reduction? Could I use these just for bass monitoring? What do you run through?
14. I currently use the ACS in ear custom mould ear Plugs and they sell earphones which replace the filters. If I buy those, connect to a suitable output on my amp and buy an inline volume control for the earphones ...erm is that it? How do you go on with the wires? Feed them down the back of your shirt? Is it really that simple? ACS want £120 for the earphones that work with their moulds - anything cheaper that's compatible? I've been using the custom moulded plugs for about a year so am used to wearing them ( sounds weird without them tbh)
15. The tort pickguard is the redder Japanese version - few scratches, nothing too serious. £10 posted The Jazz pickguard still has the plastic protective cover. Completely unused £10 Can only send photos via email as I'm using an iPhone...
16.
All pm's replied to, Bridge/neckplate/strap buttons still available. £5 for them together, postage included.
I'll take them - Paypal ok?
17.
7lbs? Is this the Balsa wood LE. Very tempted....
I've got a Jap 62ri which is also very light
18.
Will the pod stand take a pod xt?
Thats what I used it for!
19. My old rack case in great condition - holes were the locks used to be. Has a telescopic handle and wheels. Need to clear space. £60 posted Line 6 pod mic stand adapter - mount your pod on a mic stand or securely on top of an amp - fixes under amp grab handle. Can send photos to email but my laptop is broken...Hence no photos on thread (using iPhone)
20. This is not getting played as was for a GNR project that never materialised. Is immaculate as brand new - don't be put off by the colour - the budget sunbursts look naff. This doesn't! Will send photos to anyone that PMs me their email. Comes with quality hard case. Want £210. Collection/courier from Hull. Could pex for a Tascam MP bass trainer but not the CD version. Will also consider other trades...no sixers though
21. Oh good cos I've ordered one
