1. I bought this from a splendid chap (TheIceMoose) in Cardiff a few months back who had her in his wardrobe for quite a time. Hope he doesn't mind me using his pics. Since I've owned her she's had a good set up (neck pup was flush with the body but now raised as it should be), fretboard clean and lemon oil which now looks more like ebony than RW, lustrous and dark. She now also has her missing neck pup ashtray (genuine fender part) and a new set of Ernie's. The build quality is at least as good as any US fender I've owned and the action is fast and low with no fret buzz. I'll be sorry to see her go but I'm a bit of a P bass freak! I'd like [s]£500[/s] [s]£475[/s] £450 please including the hard case pictured. Thanks for looking. OK, Since tis the season of goodwill, Santa will chuck in a free xmas gift of your choice! Choose from: EHX Bass Balls Pedal USA boxed - not the Nano version. Boss ODB3 Distortion Overdrive, Zoom B2 boxed and as new. http://basschat.co.u...burgundy%20mist
2. Poor old Keith is looking a bit worse for wear bless him. Looks like he shouldn't really be able to play anymore with those arthritic fingers. Didn't know that Ronnie is such an accomplished artist either - learned something new tonite. Mick comes across as though he's always been (and still is) the driving force behind the band. There are still a few tickets front of stage at the 02 if you are willing to part with 5 grand! Now that's rock n roll!
3. I wonder if Mick will comment on the ticket prices?......I think not!
4. On the inside cover of this months (John Taylor on the front) BGM is a piccie of a new Corvette special edish - block inlays if you please! I'm not keen on Warwicks having owned one in the past but that does look rather nice!
5. Best wishes to you and your family, hope your boy is on the mend. LC

7. Is it a case of style over function I wonder? They do look very cool but I'm thinking the bridge cover may have to come off!

9. Don't blame you for keeping the Precision Dan, I veer away now and then but always come back. That Bongo is a beaut tho dude and a cracking price!
10. Great recommendation and glad your'e back on the road!
11. I bought the (missing) neck pup tray for my Jazz and I must say it looks the part, so I took it to rehearsal last night with both ashtrays on. Have to say, it wasn't that difficult to play (I almost never use a pick) resting my thumb on the top rear edge of the neck tray and playing 'in the gap' as it were. The minute I tried to play with a floating thumb though I found it difficult to get it back to where it was? Whilst not too tricky with both trays on it did feel slightly restrictive. Just wondered whether anyone else plays with them on? Apols if this has been done before. LC
12. Neepheid should be able to help you - He's somewhat of an authority on the subject!
13. Are you pick or finger (or indeed both)? The angle of those pups looks like it might be ever so slightly uncomfy trying to rest ones thumb on one.
14. It's Fender Metal Bass! Swot it says on the head stock!
15. I've just bought the PA and it and all its bits and bobs resides at my house. I did consider renting but it's a chunk out of your fee and you have to travel to pick up/drop off. The rest of the band have offered to 'chip in' but I dunno about that.
16. First album I ever bought was Selling England - "Knights of the Greenshield stamp and shout"
17.
After 4yrs of avoiding, we have conceded to adding it to our set lately! And...all the other songs that The Commitments cover. The Xmas season is coming up and we are fully booked throughout and the punters really like those songs. But, even though there are thousands of great songs from that era that we play folks still expect us to do The Commitments songs as they are probably the only songs they know out of our set. We try to be a soul/motown covers band and relent from being a The Commitments cover band, which covering a covers band sounds really silly to me.
I take it you'll be avoiding that club in Merthyr this year then!
18. I'd give that a wide berth even for the money he's asking. Another one that's all shades of wrong!
19. This is the nicest OLP stingray I've ever seen!
20. Quality class D modelling Amp at a bargain price. I've had one of these and was very impressed. GLWTS, LC
21. Oh mate, what a bummer! Don't we just love the HMRC!
22. Where would be be without long straps...........or boobs for that matter!
23. I second the above. Great to see you all, that Roland Synth is NUTS! Had a great time and thanks to Nick for organising. Sorry I had to rush off early for band practice. LC
