1.
I love the bit where he says that he will post it.
....in an envelope
2. So place your bets folks, how long before we see it listed again
3.
I don't think it would be wide necked. I thought that the general opinion was that part of the modifications that had been done to it were to add extra strings. E.g. multiple strings sharing the same slot in the bridge. If that's the case, then it might be improved by returning it to the original number of strings. Might. I only bid £50 on it. I thought that it would be worth a punt at that price. And, if it didn't look as if it could be improved, I could donate it as a mystery raffle prize for the next East Midlands bass bash.
Its easy to see how the bridge(s) have been added to with the extra strings, but the headstocks a different kettle of trout. Cant see that one meself. I wonder if hes made a whole new neck for it? maybe from an old section of dual - carriageway perhaps
4. Needs more control knobs and switches I feel. Set the controls for the heart of the sun!
5. and another to inevitably ask if its any good for m*tal
6. If I still had my 17.5 lb ( yes that's right) HB jazz you would be welcome to borrow it and try for yourself. sadly it is no more, having reached critical mass and disappearing inside itself

13. Many thanks Madshadows, youre right they are cracking basses for the money. It looks like Tom1946 is going to be taking this one off my hands
14. I bought one of these toward the end of last year, lovely looking bass and played great too with its Wilkinson hardware - http://www.thomann.d..._hbb1975_na.htm Many folks on this forum have experience of the HB basses and the vast majority of them seem to be good ones. The particular bass I had slotted straight into my gig line up of 3 basses (fretless, P with flats, J with rounds) and held its own perfectly well until July of this year when for some odd reason the headstock bent forward meaning the A string wouldn't stay in the nut. I emailed Thomann and they sent me a returns label to send the bass back and they would replace it under warranty. All good there. Problem was that the whole replacement process would take 4 weeks, and I had gigs to play. Only answer was to buy another bass, which I did. Just got back today from a weekend of gigs to find an enormous box in my kitchen with Thomann on the side. Sure enough, inside it is a brand new JB-75NA. If anyone is interested in buying a new JB-75NA and fancies getting a few quid off, then shout up. As you can see from the link up there, retail on these is around £100 plus post, Ill let this go for £70 as I just dont need it anymore. I haven't even opened the inner carton so this is brand spanking new. Anyone interested? Im based on the South coast, near Axminster. ps. Thomann assured me that they've never seen the headstock problem before, on any of their products. Ive never seen it happen before either.
15. "go for the one with the nicest t*ts"
16. So he knows nothing about it but suspects it to be 70's model I know nothing about the history of my Renault van, but suspect it was once owned by James Dean. I suspect he bought it off Jesus and sold it to Elvis Presley.
17. Im thinking this endless swapping back and forth of the same bass is just an elaborate way to build your feedback profiles
18. Gutted! hes playing just down the road from me and Im playing the same night the other end of the country. AAAARRGGGHHH!!!
