1. Hi, just noticed that when i put a term in the Search box in the private messages area, I get a 405 error saying i dont have permission. Hope Ive not broken owt
2. Oops nearly forgot - As they say in France, one mans fish is another mans poisson.
3. Thanks for the input fellas. Grangur - That's interesting, being offended is a subjective thing though, it, believe it or not, is your choice. Does my own dyslexia fly in the face of your revelation? Am I not allowed to poke fun at myself? If you were to not purchase items from any person who ever made an 'offensive' joke at something , I'm pretty sure you'd starve to death fairly quickly. But like I said, thank you for your input. Anyway, back to the subject in hand after all this is a 'For Sale' thread. I may part this out if anyone is interested?
4. Mark recently bought a neck off me and was gracious and easy to deal with throughout the entire transaction. Diamond.
5. I went to a dyslexic rave last night, everyone was taking F, and one bloke in the corner was trying to inject a heron.
6. I rang the council to ask if I was allowed to have a skip outside my house. Bloke on the other end of the phone says "You can do cartwheels round the block for all we care...."
7. Try popping along to Sidmouth folk week, where theres dozens of the merry jangly buggers bashing the living daylights out of much willow as they can get their hands on. A bit scary, in an odd sort of way.
8. The Chuckle Brothers are now working for British Gas... To meter you
9. Price : £275 Hi, here we have for a sale a Squier jazz that has been upgraded in several ways. **Edit new pics added as Photobucket doesn't want to play anymore it seems. These pics show the bass with standard 3 knob control plate, the EBS pre utilises a 4 hole one** Bartolini pick ups Badass II bridge EBS onboard pre-amp Fender scratch plate Jack socket mounted in body to retain 4 hole jazz control plate Full size open tuners I bought this bass from StingrayPete1977 of this very parish a couple of years ago. I believe he built it up himself, and I'm sure the parts alone outweigh the asking price. It has served me well, been gigged a few times and really held its own. It has a vey low action which I tweaked upwards a bit to suit my slightly clumsier playing style, it would only take a few turns of the screws to put it back. Time to move it on tho, as its just not getting used at the moment as all my time is being channelled into fretless and upright these days. Since I acquired it, it has suffered a ding at the back near the neck plate ( pictured) and a few scuffs of paint near the jack socket. It has been gigged in the past, so is not pristine, but overall in pretty good nick. One thing it does feature that I must say I'm not a fan of, is a Fender logo on the headstock. Not all will see it that way though I'm sure. It fooled a fair few soundmen/punters I've used some of Pete's original pics (hope he doesn't mind), plus a few of my own here. Bass is located near Axminster, but I do travel around the country a bit with my band, so am happy to bring it along to a gig if I'm playing anywhere near you. Here's my band dates here - http://www.cloudbust....com/dates.html Postage isnt entirely out of the question either. The pics -
10.
right on brother ! All my bands have made it then......where is my beautiful wife, where is my beautiful house?......
For the benefit of the rest of us - How did you get here?
11. You feel compelled to steam the 'Squier' logos off the headstock of your bass(es) and replace them with Fender ones
12. Sold an Ibanez 5 string to Owen, couldn't have asked for a more straight forward deal. Top marks to him.

14. I bought the worlds worst thesaurus yesterday, not only it is terrible, its terrible.
15. My farmer friend asked me to help him round up his 37 sheep. "Certainly..." I said "....40."
16. So, is anyone interested in this bass? I don't want it sitting around for ever
17. When one door closes, another door opens. These cheap wardrobes really are crap.
18. Just trying to work out if Ive space under my bed for this to sit in its case......
19. I was reading in bed last night and the wife whispered in my ear 'Turn the light out'. Why? "I want you to put it in my bum." Thinking back, I probably should have let the bulb cool off a bit.
20. errrk. Its got 19 bids!
21. My gig set up features two Squiers, a CV jazz which I simply cannot fault and an Affinity P/J which plays a whole lot better than its £90 price tag. the Affinity could be improved, I don't think the jazz could.
22.
You should play some jazz gigs. I've played gigs where I've never heard the tune before. Chord chart, watch, listen and pray.
My keyboard player has been known to say to me during set up for a gig "Do you know such and such a tune?" "Nope, never heard it" "Right well its in E flat minor and I think you should play this line ** suggests incomprehensible combination of notes** " and then we play it live at the show. Bit scary, but keeps you feeling alive
23. Current band rehearse once in a blue moon as we are dotted around the country so getting everyone together is a mare. If we could get a Skype type thing going then I'm sure we would. Done plenty of different bands ranging from rehearsing weekly but never gigging to, just diving straight in, all manners have their plusses and minuses IMO. I don't have a great deal of time these days so I'm cool with the arrangement my band has got at the mo
